Hello ladies of hive, Happy Mother's Day to y'all.....you mothers and soon-to-be mothers are well deserving of this celebratory day for being such great homemakers, even if it turns out to be celebrated everyday.
My apologies first of all, for not been active these past week. I've been in and out of massive house chores but I'm almost all settled now so we're back to business, baby 😁
Now the topic on the table of discussion is the question of what I'd sum up to GENDER INEQUALITY; the case of the female gender coming as second placed priority when compared with that of the males.
My take on this is that women still need to be given more chances, more opportunities to express themselves and show the goodness of womanhood (real strength and courage). My max. respect to all those that fought for the stand women currently have ranking from the equal share of Human Rights, down to the ability to have a say in the table of men as well. But more still need to be done, no offenses.
I don't know alotta stories about most popular women and how they must have been treated, or how they must have persevered whatever hardship thrown at them, or how they must have sat patiently waiting for their own share of "the cake", but my own candid opinion will be that more needs to be done for women.
Did God create women to be of lower station?
If we are to follow the Christian doctrine from the root and I mean way back from the time of the "world's creation", I don't believe God created women to be as low as they are being placed.
Eve, mother of womanhood was created from Adam's rib and thus assigned as a help mate. An image to not to be overlooked, a paramount being. Women shouldn't just be treated lower, at all. To be made out of bone and not literal dust, is one significant act that will always be in the heart of history.
If only women will be more appreciated....
Only if the world would give more chances to the set of humans that are burdened with the pain of childbearing....
More psychological adjustments need to be done to shine the light on the importance of gender equality.
Do I accept for women to be offered silence instead of eligibility to vote or own a land?
No, I don't. If we're all humans, then why should there be segregations? Why should there be an imbalance in chances offered?
Over the years, it has always been the men taking up responsibilities of provisions as assigned by God almighty for being disobedient in the garden of Eden(origination of men's duties). So they continue to flex it till it has gotten to the stage of them heading states and countries leaving the women on the side lines as on-lookers, forgetting the great possibilities of allowing an originally designed "helping hand" get a job done.
I know we're all burdened with our own shares of responsibilities and it's a great thing we're pulling through with it irrespective of what we think should be what it is or who we think should have more duties to contend with, but not allowing opportunities reach out to others, is not right.
I mean, take a moment to think of the achievements that can be bagged if a homemaker was made to rule a group of people.
Think about it first then let me know your answer in the comment section 😉
Women definitely deserve more chances, I rest my case.
@young-boss-karin and @deraaa, do well to share your thoughts on this 😊
