Hello lovely ladies of @LadiesOfHive 💗, I've found myself a bit out of this medium due to major issues, also including work and responsibilities. But today I've decided to come back and in the best way, by participating in this week's LOH #156.
I found the questions this time, asked by @joanstewart very interesting. Since we all at some point go through hard times in our lives, where we need some technique to get through and face everything in the best way.
1️⃣ Share a story on how you overcome feeling despondent, disillusioned, or filled with skepticism when you realize exactly what's going on around you?
At some point in life, for whatever reason or circumstance we may feel disillusioned with a situation, disappointed and even discouraged to continue believing in something or someone. And it is in those moments when our mind plays tricks on us where we see the glass half empty at all times.
However, in one way or another we can or rather must always stand up and look at everything from a different perspective.
I recently faced family problems, where I felt very disillusioned with the whole situation and felt that things shouldn't happen like this because I didn't deserve it. Still I tried to see everything from another point of view and took the whole situation as something positive and as an impulse to move on.
For me, the way to face this type of situation is to see everything from a different point of view, to observe and analyze things from a different perspective, focusing on what improvements the situation will bring to your life or what is positive in the situation.
Thanks to these family problems, I was finally able to take the initiative to live alone with my partner and my daughter, since we were living with my parents. Thanks to the bad situation we were going through, we were able to realize that we needed our space and that is how we took the definitive decision to move. For this reason and seeing everything from another point of view, the situation rather than becoming a problem, became the impulse we needed to continue and take a definitive decision in our life.
"Absence is the mother of disappointment." - British proverb (I loved this proverb and that's why I left it)
2️⃣ What makes you hold onto hope? Enlighten us on something you do to create a safe, positive space around yourself, to boost the belief or conviction to always look for the cloud with a silver lining, even if it means starting again?
Hope, they say is the last thing we should lose and that's why I always keep it until I think I've lost it. Since I was a little girl with anything my grandmother always told me "Daughter, hope is the last thing to lose" and I think that's something I live with in mind.
Even so, there are times when we think we have already lost all possible hope. However, as I mentioned before, we must see everything differently, because there is always a little light at the end of the tunnel. Nothing is ever lost and nothing is ever forever.
When I think I'm losing hope in something I just think about where I am, how I got to this point and try to look for the silver lining. I particularly feel that when we have a little bit of positivity in us we can keep hope.
In my case, I recently lost my job and no matter how hard I have searched nothing comes and these are things that make hope go away little by little, but looking at it differently, I think that I take advantage of that time without a job with my daughter and I know that at some point something will come. And although I don't have a secure job right now, something came for a few months and well, it's better than nothing.
For me, it's all in the way we think and look at situations. And having the strong conviction that "Hope is the last thing to go".
"Don't loose hope, no situation is permanent." - African Proverb
In conclusion and as an answer to these two questions, I personally feel that everything is in the mind, in our willpower and in the way we see things. Let's be more positive and bring smiles to the world no matter the situation, because the world is rotten enough to see everything in a worse way. Cheer up, we can do it 😊❤️.
I hope to read you soon. A hug 🤗
