Giving the opportunity to talk about one topic to people is one thing I will cherish so much. I have always wished I could have the privilege to talk to people about the one topic I can never get tired of: self-care. As the name implies, self-care means taking care of one's own self. Okay, what are those measures you put in place to take care of yourself?
Self-care is the conscious effort that people take to take care of themselves. Self-care promotes good health. Self-care is very important; the majority of the people neglect their health; they don’t take care of themselves; they forget that health is wealth. Before, I was this kind of girl that didn’t take care of her health; everything about me was work, work, work, but one day I fell sick because I failed to take care of myself. Do you know I was hospitalized for one month during the period I was sick? The company was running without my presence. After that incident, I sit down and advise myself that my health should be my first priority.
I know there are many people out there who pay little or no attention to their health. Self-care means taking care of your physical health, your emotions, and your mental health. Most people think that people who take care of themselves are selfish. I am here telling you today that self-care is not selfish. There are people who, from year to year, will not give themselves rest or go to the hospital for checkup. Everything is not about money; self-care is very important.

The importance of self-care can’t be overemphasized. Caring for yourself is very important. Some people are still ignorant of what self-care is all about. Self-care is a means of taking care of our physical, emotional, and mental health, also to promote good health and prevent illness. There are some people who have this mindset that practicing self-care is a waste of resources and a waste of money; they forget that health is wealth.
Practicing self-care is not about going to the hospital for a checkup. You can practice self-care by eating more natural foods and less processed food.
Giving yourself time to relax and meditate and going on vacations to cool off. Practicing self-care is very important because it helps to improve your health. It is very important that you practice self-care because you will enjoy a healthy body system, and we will be able to carry out our daily activities effectively without breaking down.
In conclusion, self-care is not selfish; it is very important that we take care of our health.
