Hy beautiful member of Hive, I will be sharing with you in this article how I manage stress when combining work.
Like I rightly said I work in a bank and trust me after a day job fellow banker relates it with the need to find time for rest. Not that it is very stressful but some days customers might be much attending to them all warrant other staffs to lend a helping hand.
Firstly I will like to talk about stress itself.
What is stress?
It is the condition of the body which deviates from normal as a result of emotional, psychological imbalances. Emotional stress arises and results into mental stress, stress of the brain which affect our logical reasoning too.
Stress from job is regarded to as the physical type of stress but then, how did you manage all of these in one body especially if you are the working class type?
In this article, I will make reference to a research by a nursing student of Uganda, Priscilla, Eugene who carried out a research as project to identify popular cause of stress amongst Ugandan students of which factors like stress levels, employment status, anger, been upset, from the result of her analysis, it was discovered that emotionally, anger and been upset contributes heavily to stress.
The group of people that easily experienced stress are students and most of employed people.
This includes the working class like us who are also students in the university. Having much task to carry out at the office heavily contributes to stress and I experienced it some time when I took ill and decided to skip work for a day, the work pile up which my colleagues were not able to complete, I had to start completing them which made me experienced a bit of stress.
But here are the tactics I used in overcoming stress.
Rest
In between my service, I do find time to rest during the break hours and after closure from work. Like I could head straight to the bed, wake up after sometime.
I take fruits a lot
Fruits usually have some natural antibodies needed to overcome stress when ever encountered. To me when I take fruit I do have this natural energy to keep up the day job especially when it looks hectic for that day. While I carry out my job, I do have some fruits on standby.
Fun
Honestly I found anther antidote which is fun, if I don’t listen to music to derive it, I watch comedies which makes me a bit relieved from stress. This happens when I get home not at place of work but I could play music on my blue tooth earpiece instead.
Effect of been stressed
I actually understood what been stressed really implies when my boss mistakenly transferred some amount to an unknown recipient. That was the day he realized the need for having a personal private doctor with this he even decided to keep health check on his blood pressure. That was when I got to know this machine.
