Hello, everyone; it took me five long days before I was able to write again. I was anxious that is why I couldn't find the momentum. Thankful my baby stop frequent poop after I change his water. I still use the same brand, but it may have been stuck for days. His pediatrician had already advised me not to buy huge bottles of distilled water. It has something to do with the reaction. Yet the hard-headed me only bothered this week.
So when he felt better, it seemed like he had lost some weight, but no one believed me 😫! Not even @asiaymalay 😕.
I took him out last Friday just here in the neighborhood—at the church, to be exact—to get his Father's baptismal certificate. We will need that as we are planning his christening this coming January.
Since he lost weight, with all my confidence, I went out alone. On our way, a certain woman we passed by approaches and says my baby was cute. For a Mom, hearing a compliment boasted my ego but from a stranger I didn't know, I felt uncomfortable. I am not sure if it's only me, but I felt worried when someone, not a family or closed friend, touched him. What more when you started to baby talk to with the face nearing his? Ah, I badly wanted to say, distance, please.
Speaking of his christening, I started to source possible souvenirs. Back then, it was just a picture of a baby attached to either a fridge magnet or any home decor. Yet, these past years, everything has changed. It's kind of outdated.
After spending time scrolling online, this is my first choice. It really looks nice in the picture but isn't in the actual.
The second option is the design, which resembles the cake. The bear-shaped candle that was supposed to be brown had patches of white. It looked like old stock.
So what now? My sister-in-law sent me a link and suggested a seller for scented candles. Since I wanted to check the actual item first, I placed an order days ago.
It took only two days, and it was delivered. The packaging was nice, lively, and artistic.
However, since the packaging was made from tin, can this happen. I wasn't surprised, as the price was cheap—less than $1.
I forgot to take a photo, but this is what is inside. Scents are;
- Blue Wind Chime - purple
- Ocean - sky blue
- Freesia - sky blue with yellow accent
- Jasmine flower - pink
- Rose - red
I am almost settled with this, but the only problem is the scent. It is so strong that smelling it gives me a headache.
To make sure, I tried lighting one, the jasmine scent. My in-laws said it was fine. It all smells good, but for me, it's a no!
Perhaps it was because I had allergic rhinitis. Most of the time, I prefer odorless.
One sister-in-law told me I was hard to please 😂. I admit that it is just in things that involve scent.
However, since they approved it, this may be his souvenir. I will add a personalized sticker.

One is settled, so I will focus on other matters, such as candy cups, decorations, and the requirements to be submitted at the church.
The Food? It will be the husband who is in charge 😆.
