As mentioned in my previous blog, I had an appointment with the Sonologist last weekend for the last trimester ultrasound; fetal biometry.
Though it was raining, we managed to arrive safety at the hospital as I posted here.. This is where my previous OBGYNE was working yet I decided to transfer and look for another one as it was expensive here. This is a private hospital anyway.
Instead, I look for an OBGYN as referred by my other sister in-law who had a private clinic. Then, I will deliver the baby either in a private or public hospital she is affiliated with. It is more budget friendly.
While sitting at the waiting area I couldn't help but to reminisce about those times. I am here for my turn here. Not because I am pregnant but just making sure everything is fine and I am healthy enough to bear a child.
Now here I am, happily staring at the screen looking at my baby that looks like a human now 😆. You know how the fetus would look during the early pregnancies.
It was so amazing, how we ladies manage to grow a little human inside us!
Though I was a little bit disappointed as the Doctor didn't make an effort to find a good angle! Taking a photo or video is also not allowed so I have nothing to send to the husband. Poor him!
Doc was it really a boy? You know, the previous Sonologist might have seen it wrong 😂. Not a chance! See the result? It's a Male fetus!
The Doctor discussed the basic details on me and said others will be done by my current OB.
The Baby's Progress
EDD (Expected date of delivery) changes from June 24 , last ultrasound to July 03. Yet the nurse who is the assistant during my pre-natal check up computed it and said expected it's positive or negative in two weeks. So I am expecting to deliver in the last week of June or first week of July. Might be earlier or later than that.
Fetal weight
2415 gms or 2.4 kgs, Doc is the baby's weight okay? Or should I eat more? 😆.
No, the weight is appropriate in his gestational age. Don't eat much now as when it reach 3kgs it will be hard for you to deliver via normal.
Aw, so I better really watch my food intake now 😆.
Okay, you lay down and I need to perform internal physical examination (IE).
Here we are again, honestly I don't really like it but do I have a choice? 😰.
I could already feel the baby's head but your cervix is still closed. So that explains why my inner thighs hurt a lot sometimes. It's because of the baby!
After that, she gave me prescriptions for the vitamins I needed and also Admission order just in case I would go into labor in the next weeks.
Staring at the piece of paper I was like;
OMG FINALLY I AM CLOSED TO GIVING BIRTH! Feeling relieved! Yet also the other part of me was like OMG I AM REALLY CLOSE TO DELIVER MY BABY, CAN I MAKE IT? Feeling worried!
As of now, all is well so chances to normal delivery is huge yet it would still vary on the actual labor. Crossed fingers everything will be fine in time comes.
How I am now?
Currently in the 36th week and it's getting harder to move! Still cramps and numbness of my arms and fingers. pelvic pain etc. I am at the point in my life that if I dropped anything on the floor I would just leave it there. SUPPOSED but I am a Filipina, Of course I would pick it up using my toes!
I posted this picture of mine on my social media but supposed not to because physical changes happened all throughout the pregnancy. Lucky are those who didn't experience it on my part? Can't help but to feel fat and ugly at times. Weight gain, darkening of specific body parts, I even had those dark lines on my legs and yeah stretch marks. It started to appear in my belly when I was eight months pregnant. This made me think, Can I still wear my crop tops after?🤣
However, I know this shall pass, lol and as my husband told me, It's normal as you are pregnant, not all are lucky enough to experience that. Those marks? That's someone's dream, so don't worry, okay? You are not ugly, just pregnant.
Big thanks to my other half for the support even though he is miles away, those constant reminders just to make sure I am fine and always giving me compliments.
