Ink Me, but not on my Body. LOH #66

in #hive-1244523 years ago

Asking what tattoo I would get right now, initially had me thinking that I wouldn't be able to participate in this contest. I was thinking, "I don't want any tattoo." One of the services that I offer at my salon is Saline Tattoo Removal. I often have clients come in so that they can get tattoos removed. Not only is the process painful, but it is also time consuming and expensive.

Women request to have tattoos removed/lightened mostly because they are tattoos of regret. I have helped to lighten gang initials, hearts on hips, tramp stamps, wording on feet and ankles, ex-spouse initials, and other tattoos that they got when they were "young and stupid." Because of my experience in helping to get rid of tattoos, it has cemented in my desire to never get a body art tattoo.

HOWEVER, I also offer the service of permanent makeup. They are also tattoos. They aren't conventional tattoos like body art, but any time that you are putting ink in the skin, it is a tattoo. They need to be refreshed, and fade, but are still tattoos. Typically, the permanent makeup tattoos that I do last a couple years, and then need to be refreshed. So, what would I get?

I would choose a lip tattoo. WHY? As we get older, the shape of our lips becomes less defined. Also, the color of our lips can fade. This lady that had come to me had very pale lips that always bothered her. She requested color and definition. She brought me a lip pencil to match as well.

I would like the same thing. I just want a lip tattoo that will set my lip shape and blend in some color. I would choose to have it be as close as possible to my lip color so that it would be hard to know I even had a tattoo. Then, I would have my definition refined and it also makes putting on lipstick, when you choose to, so much easier. The outline is all there for you.

This would be the tattoo that I would choose for myself. Now I tag @consciouscat to see what she would say.

Very original on your part, a tattoo on the lips, sensual, provocative and helps self-esteem.

It is the little things th aw t make a difference and lips can be a little thing that makes a big.impact.

You are totally right!

What a nice tattoo idea and very discreet too. No one would think you got one unless you tell them. I like it!

Thank you very much. I am glad you like the idea.

You received 2 LADY(LOH) tokens for entering the Ladies of Hive contest!

We believe that you should be rewarded for the time and effort spent in creating articles. The goal is to encourage token holders to accumulate and hold LOH tokens over a long period of time.

Thank you!

I'd like a tattoo myself...
... that kind! Where is your shop?
Hahaha 😍
Thanks for sharing, @liftslikealady.
Good luck with the contest!

SoCal. It is fun for me to do on other people also.

I never thought of permanent lip color being a tattoo - duh! I would definitely be on board having this done more for the definition than color. Too bad I'm so far away in the midwest US - I think you'd do an amazing job! 💋🎨🖌💋

Good luck in the contest! @liftslikealady💯

Awwww, thank you so much! I would want it for the definition also

Sorry I'm late for this post, so happened bump into this and find it interesting. What is the process of saline tattoo removal? I don't have a tattoo, but am interested to know what are the procedure.

Lip tattoo, sounded like a lot of pain. I had an ulcer before and that almost killed me for not being able to eat solid food for a couple of day. I can't brain how possibly be getting needles on the lips. I think I will bust tears and start shouting and crying for mommy 😅

Haha, great minds think alike Becca! I spend a chunk of time this afternoon writing my contest entry and had picked you to invite before I went into my notifications to see what I'd missed in the meantime and here you were, tagging me 🤣😄😀 We must have been telepathically communicating with one another ❤️

That is too funny! I literally did the exact same thing!

😆🤣😁 !LOL

Thank you very much!

Hi there, beautiful Becca! Hope you're doing well, and your lovely family too.

I've been meaning to tell you, your makeup work is stunning! If I was ever to do something like it on me (unlikely, but who knows), you'd definitely be the artist I go to.

Like you, I struggle with the idea of marking my body permanently, although I have three tattoo ideas I've been working on for years. They're beautiful concepts, perfectly me, but I can't seem to make up my mind about getting them, and it's probably better that way.

I think that having a little definition and extra color on the lips wouldn't hurt, yes. I'm not so sure you need it, you are beautiful as you are, but sounds like a cool idea if you're comfortable with it.

This is the first LOH topic that calls my name! I might write an entry too.

Thank you for sharing, and see you around! <3

Thank you! I try to do right my all the ladies who come to my chair.

As f as r as tattoos, I have thought that if there was ever an image or word I felt strongly about, Onwpuld have it made into a gold pendant. Then, if I change my mind, I could change the pendant and it would be worth something since I would have it made of gold. Maybe I could commission it as an art piece to hang in my house. That is another idea that just came to me.

Oh, I love the gold pendant idea! I'll keep that in mind.
