Hi all 👋🏻
Today I want to share with you another update: ”Our last weekend in Spain” as hubby is watching football ⚽️ I have time to write this post 🤣😂😜
Today’s selection will be of 39 photographs, where I take you along this weekend, 17 and 18 December 2022 😊
The Photographs in this post are taken with my iPhone 📱
I will follow the time stamps on my photographs. So you can discover (almost) everything I have done and saw the little #details through my eyes 😊
If you missed my movers post from Friday: 📦🚛 Our move out of Spain has started 🇪🇸 ~ “Market Friday”
Let’s start with the good bye of our rental yesterday Saturday 17 December 👋🏻👋🏻☀️
The garden… at 16:54pm. First day of only sunshine, we had lots and lots of rain in southern Spain the last weeks so this was a pleasant change. ☀️
Our drive towards Málaga city where we are staying in a hotel for 2 nights.
The sun is slowly setting and the colours change… 🌄
Sunset behind us, I look out of the side window to capture it 😎 (nope I am not driving)
Signs towards Málaga…
and the last toll road in Spain we go through…
A bit further along the long drive we see the mountains around Fuengirola and Mijas… the time is 18:25h.
Getting closer 🚘
Finally…
We arrived at our accommodation in Malaga city at 19:30h in the evening. As you can see we have even a little kitchen area. 😎
So far we like this place. It has everything one would need. 😎🤓
After bringing our suitcases 🧳 up… in total 4 medium ones and 2 cabin trolleys and a rucksack and purse 👜 😜 not too much I would say hahaha 🤣 do keep in mind we won’t have our belongings that have been picked up last Friday for 1 month. So I squeezed more than just clothes in these suitcases 😁
We went out for dinner after that and saw Málaga at night time 😎
Photos of the dry river… here with the part that does have water, as it rained a lot lately.
I can’t forget to show you some art works… in the form of #StreetArt 😎
After dinner… we went back and crashed early hahaha I was soooo tired 😴 from the last busy days. Packing boxes 📦 wrapping furniture, organising everything for the country move etc etc
The next morning, TODAY Sunday the 18th December the view of the outside of the apartment looks like this:
Love the lines and plants. 🪴
We said bye bye 👋🏻 to the rental car 🚘 when we brought it back to the train station in Málaga.
Getting up out of the garage… we arrive in the main building. We have to find the car rental company to give them the car keys 🔑
A large Christmas decoration in the main hall! 🎄🎄🎄🎄
Found the rental companies, just next to the entrance to the trains… 🚂🚂🚂🚂 it’s now 11:30am
As we have all day to rest and relax and wander through Málaga now… we walk first through the shopping area of the train station 😁
I see more art works high up 🎨🖼
The shopping area 👜 with Christmas lights 🎄
In the middle we find #Santa 🎅🏻 greeting little ones 👋🏻
We exit the train station… our official BIENVENIDO A MÁLAGA 😉
The outside 🤓
We start our walk through Málaga, let me show you some highlights 😎😊☀️
Are you coming along further?
Here you see 2 large StreetArt works from DFACE and OBEY this is behind the CAC museum. I visited it while I was living in Malaga for 1,5 years many times, the museum I mean 😉😎
I love Malaga city… it’s stunning 🥰 I have beautiful memories from here.
The big street through… decorated with more Christmas lights 🎄🎅🏻
Walking into the #historical #centre we see the Christmas lights on Calle Larios. 😎
The whole street, it is “THE STREET” in #Malaga that everybody knows. In the evening a light and sound display comes on, and the street will be filled with millions of people… too busy for me to be honest, so not sure whether I go. I have done it once in 2015… during #Christmas and #NewYear’s Eve 🎊
The big square… ready for New Years celebrations… 🎊
Ice cream shops in the centre.
At 15:00h it was 18 degrees Celsius ☀️☀️😊😊 I don’t mind… for the last warm days. I will enjoy every little sun beam ☀️😁 As we are heading for snow ❄️ ☃️
Wandering further… we walk by El Pimpi restaurant and this statue.
Opposite this restaurant we see the Roman theatre and the Alcazaba.
After some drinks… in a tea house and some cakes… (I show later, one day) we walk further in some streets through the city.
In a large department store I saw:
Funny funny… 😎 there was even outside a Christmas market… I have to share with you in the community : #marketfriday 😉😁 later this week 🥰
More Christmas #decorations in the shop windows 🎄🎄☃️☃️
In the back streets, we see no people anymore… 😎
And with this last Christmas decoration 😉
naughty me 😁
