Hello friends of this beautiful Ladies of Hive community, I am very grateful for the invitation made to me by my friend @taniagonzalez to participate in the contest proposed by @saffisara, the contest announcement can be found here. I would like to answer one of the questions proposed by her: Which environment do you prefer, the mountains or the ocean? And why?
I am a 100% nature lover, I love plants, animals and the environment that surrounds me. I live on an island, I have always had the sea very close to me and we also have beautiful mountains all over the island.
I really enjoy going to the countryside and being in contact with nature, hearing the birds singing is music that relaxes me along with the sound of the wind in the shade of the trees and seeing the mountains in the distance is something that fascinates me.
Many years ago I made a climb to the Turquino peak, the highest peak of our Cuban geography which is 1900 meters high, I enjoyed it very much, I have no photographic evidence because at that time I had no camera and there were no cell phones, but the images of the vegetation and the spectacular views from the top of the mountain are still engraved in my memory, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

Hola amigos de esta hermosa comunidad Ladies of Hive, agradezco mucho la invitación que me hizo mi amiga @taniagonzalez para participar en el concurso propuesto por @saffisara, la convocatoria del concurso pueden encontrarlo aquí. Me gustaría responder una de las pregustas propuestas por ella: ¿Qué ambiente prefieres, las montañas o el océano? ¿Por qué?
Soy amante de la naturaleza 100 %, amo las plantas, los animales y el medio que me rodea. Vivo en una isla, siempre he tenido el mar muy cerca y también tenemos montañas preciosas por toda la isla.
Disfruto muchísimo ir al campo y estar en contacto con la naturaleza, oír el canto de las aves es música que me relaja junto con el sonido del viento a la sombra de los árboles y ver hacia lo lejos las montañas es algo que me fascina.
Hace muchos años hice una escalada al pico Turquino, el pico más alto de nuestra geografía cubana que está a 1900 metros de altura, lo disfruté muchísimo, no tengo evidencias fotográficas porque en aquel tiempo no tenía cámara y tampoco había celulares, pero las imágenes de la vegetación y de las vistas espectaculares desde lo alto de la montaña las tengo grabadas en mi memoria aún, fue una experiencia maravillosa e inolvidable.
But if I have to choose my preference between the ocean and the mountains I lean more towards the ocean. I live in front of the sea so when I wake up it is the first thing I see when I open my windows, I can feel the smell of the sea so seductive and enjoy the view of the sea which is almost always a very beautiful and bright blue. The sea tells me that the weather will be good when it moves placidly, on the other hand when I see it more active and with a strong swell is that a storm is coming and we have to take measures so that it does not affect us.
The sea gives me tranquility, I love to walk along the boardwalk and sit down to enjoy the waves hitting the rocks, that sound helps me to reflect and find my inner peace. Besides, the sunsets that I can watch in front of the sea are spectacular.
Pero si tengo que elegir mi preferencia entre el océano y las montañas me inclino más por el océano. Vivo frente al mar, al despertar es lo primero que veo cuando abro mis ventanas, puedo sentir el olor del mar tan seductor y disfrutar de la vista del mar que casi siempre es de un azul muy bello y brillante. El mar me dice que el clima estará bueno cuando se mueve plácidamente, en cambio cuando lo veo más activo y con un fuerte oleaje es que alguna tormenta se avecina y tenemos que tomar medidas para que no nos afecte.
El mar me da tranquilidad, adoro caminar por el malecón y sentarme para disfrutar de las olas golpeando las rocas, ese sonido me ayuda a reflexionar y a encontrar mi paz interior.
Además, los atardeceres que puedo observar frente al mar son espectaculares.
The beach, oh the beach! For me it is the ultimate, it is the place where I always want to go on vacation, sit on the sand at the seashore, enjoy the seagulls fluttering nearby and watch the little fish swimming between our feet, this always happens to me in Varadero, our beautiful beach.
Friends, we are privileged to enjoy a beautiful nature, both the mountains and the ocean are very important and necessary for our life, so let's enjoy them and also take care of them!
