A neighborhood tour for Valentines Day

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and the local grocery store is well stocked with flowers. 110 million roses are sold in the US to celebrate the holiday.

I have lots of wonderful memories of Valentine's days in the past. Gifts of flowers, jewelry, chocolates and even a few once in a lifetime trips. Flying from the US to Frankfurt, Germany for the weekend to see Harry Belafonte in concert was a Valentine's gift not to be forgotten!

I don't do much decorating for Valentines Day anymore, but the people who live in this house are all about celebrating love!

While out walking around the neighborhood, Ella found evidence of many houses and shop windows that are ready for the big day. I wanted to share the photos here to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day. I hope you enjoy the tour of all these decorations!

Harry Belefonte in Germany what an epic gift! I unfortunately am known for the year I got a great deal on roses from a street vendor that were dead by the next morning 😞

I've received those same roses!
Seeing Harry in concert had been on my life list for years. Tickets to his very few US concerts were so expensive and it always involved a plane flight to Seattle or some other distant city. It was rather shocking to find that it would be several hundred dollars cheaper to go to his concert in Frankfort! It was one of the last items that I crossed off my list while I was still able to walk.
