Welcome to my Blog! This is my entry for the Ladies of Hive Community Contest #136
I am excited about this week's questions and will be sharing about both. Good Luck Ladies of Hive!
Our Family's Pet
Pets! They are a part of the family! Do you spoil them; dress them up; pamper them? If so, how? Please share a photo of your pet being spoiled!
First, I want to talk about our cat. His name is Phineas, but we also call him the soup kitty. We rescued him from the local shelter. He is such a loveable animal and he loves soup! When we first adopted him, he would not eat dry food. He also wouldn't eat the pate very much. One morning, I decided to add warm water to the wet food and made soup. He loved it! I did this for several weeks while he settled in at his new home. He eventually would eat dry cat food, but I still give him soup every now and then. I now buy the prepackaged broths as his treat. Here is Phineas eating his favorite soup...

Memories from childhood
Memories are a wonderful thing! They help us to remain close to family and friends when distance is a barrier. The question is: What is the youngest memory you have? What was the memory and how old were you at the time?
My earliest memory was at a very young age. I'm not sure exactly how old I was, but my family was living in a trailer at the time so I must have been about 3 or 4 years old because we moved to a new house when I was five. I had just woken up from a nap and looked out from my crib while standing. It was dark in the room. I don't remember saying anything, but I do remember my mother coming into the room and picking me up. We ate lunch together. I remember having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I ate a lot of those sandwiches when I was young and I still do every once in a while. It is comfort food for my soul as well as a sweet treat.
Pexels kinda looks like me when I was little lol
We lived in Dogwood Acres trailer park in Bristol, TN. The park was built in 1970. I was born in 1973 and we lived there until about 1978. I barely remember the trailer park that we lived in, but I have a very vivid memory of waking up in my crib. The park has been completely renovated since we lived there. It now has a pool and recreation area. We didn't have those back in the 1970s. Here is a picture of one of the trailers located at the park today.

My older brother is four years older than me, so he would have been at school the day I had my first memory. My dad would have been at work. Below is my brother and I on the couch at the old trailer. This picture was taken by my dad in 1974. Thank you for stopping by to read my contest entry. As always, it is wonderful to connect with so many great ladies around the world! Peace be with you
