Good evening my beautiful ladies! Today I am here to participate in this Ladies of Hive contest #87 in which we have to answer at least 1 of the 2 questions asked:
- 1️⃣ Which mythical creature would you like to really exist?
- O2️⃣ What weird food combinations do you really like?
So without much more to add, I'll go for the answers!!!
1️⃣ Which mythical creature would you like to really exist?
1️⃣ ¿Qué criatura mítica te gustaría que existiera realmente?
Soy Sagitariana y como tal amo a los Centauros, por eso me encantaría que existiera este ser mitológico mitad humano, mitad caballo, que generalmente se los ve con un arco para cazar.
Los Centauros femeninos son llamados Centáurides. Uno de los más conocidos en la mitología fue Quirón y además representa una constelación y como dije un signo del zodíaco lo lleva como imagen representativa. Representan fuerza, coraje, sabiduría y valentía.
I am a Sagittarian and as such I love Centaurs, so I would love to have this mythological half-human, half-horse being, usually seen with a bow for hunting.
The female Centaurs are called Centaurides. One of the best known in mythology was Chiron and also represents a constellation and as I said a sign of the zodiac carries it as a representative image. They represent strength, courage, wisdom and bravery.
2️⃣ What weird food combinations do you really like?
2️⃣ ¿Qué combinaciones extrañas de comida te gustan realmente?
Bueno soy una amante de la comida agridulce, por eso puedo decir que amo esa combinación de sabores. Por ejemplo, en mi región solemos comer empanadas de carne dulce, empanadas de jamón, queso y ananá caramelizada y de Ciruelas, panceta y queso. Las tres son una delicia!!
Otra cosa que me gusta comer agridulce es la carne, sea de cerdo, pollo o res, las carnes cuando tienen un sabor dulce tienen otro encanto. Me gusta combinar por ejemplo: Costillas de cerdo con puré de manzanas o manzanas caramelizadas. Peceto relleno con ciruelas y queso. Morcilla dulce, es un clásico en la parrilla de mi casa, generalmente estas recetas vienen de España y la que más me gusta es la que tiene almendras, canela y pasas de uva.
Por último, otra cosa agridulce que me encanta es combinar el queso y el dulce, acá es un "postre" que se llama Martín Fierro y consta de una feta gruesa de Queso cáscara colorada y una feta del mismo tamaño de dulce de membrillo ó Vigilante que es con dulce de batata (a mí me gusta con dulce de batata), ó con otros dulces, como la miel. Esa combinación es ideal para hacer pastelitos rellenos también!! Una delicia!!
Well, I am a lover of sweet and sour food, so I can say that I love this combination of flavours. For example, in my region we usually eat sweet meat empanadas, ham, cheese and caramelised pineapple empanadas and plum, bacon and cheese empanadas. All three are delicious!
Another thing I like to eat sweet and sour is meat, whether it is pork, chicken or beef, when it has a sweet taste it has a different charm. I like to combine for example: pork ribs with applesauce or caramelized apples. Stuffed beef with plums and cheese. Sweet blood sausage is a classic on the grill at my house, usually these recipes come from Spain and the one I like the most is the one with almonds, cinnamon and sultanas.
Finally, another sweet and sour thing that I love is to combine cheese and sweet, here it is a "dessert" called Martín Fierro and it consists of a thick slice of Queso cáscara colorada and a slice of the same size of dulce de membrillo or Vigilante, which is with sweet potato (I like it with sweet potato), or with other sweets, such as honey. This combination is ideal for making stuffed pastries too! A delight!
