Hello ladies, I'm happy to make It to this week's entry and thanks to my friend @treasuree for encouraging me back to the blockchain, after going through some life rough paths, it's time to get back on my feet, and Hive is a good distraction I guess, I hope I'm welcomed once more.
I will be going for the first topic which says;
We women are known for carrying out several activities at the same time. Somehow we always balance our schedules to accomplish them all, even though sometimes that brings us excessive fatigue. My question is: what do you do when you feel exhausted? How do you regulate your physical, mental, and emotional state to be yourself again?
If there is one thing I've come to face attaining adulthood and motherhood that I never prepared for, it is stress, yea, schooling had its stress, but it was majorly making sure I read and had good grades, I was extroverted enough not to let peoples hate word or backstabbing friends stress me too much, and my bills were mostly dependent on my parents.
But after graduation, reality stared us in the face, from getting a 9 to 5 job which I'm happy for to suddenly becoming a mother which I didn't plan for, no doubt, she is the best thing that happened to me, but my reality now is that I have to be fully responsible, not just for myself alone, but my daughter as well, truth be told, it is tiring trying to keep up, some days are fair, while some other days, it feels like the world is on top of me.
What I do to balance my sanity
At first, I thought I was strong enough to handle this new chapter of my life all alone and didn't bother asking anyone for help, I juggled my job and also caring for my child, I often felt like a terrible mother because of when I had to leave my child at a day care center, and later discovered she was not properly cared for, they overdosed her on sleeping drugs instead in the name of keeping her calm and quiet, when I discovered, I almost went insane, then the big cross came, how do I take care of her without losing my job, I stayed alone in my current town of residence and have no family close, as if the universe knew my plight and answered my prayers, my immediate younger sister just finished from school and was glad to be of assistance for a while which put my mind at rest, till I find a better day care service center, or creche since she will be older by the time my sister leaves for service, so never fail to ask someone for help, we ladies feel we have super powers, trying to juggle all responsibilities together, asking for help to relieve you of some of your activities an exhausting lifestyle don't make you less of a human, it shows you care about yourself and those around you as well, your responsibility, in my case, I still get to send quality time with my daughter in my off days and any time i'm back fron work.
- Sleep
Never estimate the relieving power of a good sleep, wanting to do it all and not giving yourself rest will cause health challenges apart from feeling like a walking zombie and becoming less and less productive. we
We need our full health to give optimum productivity and keep on with our activities, we also need to recharge our body for this, imagine using your smartphone the whole day without rest or recharge, the battery keeps dropping till It goes off completely right, that's exactly what you do to your body without rest.
And finally, good food, my mum used to tell me that whenever our body craved certain types of food, especially if they are nutrient-packed food, it means our body might require a particular nutrient present in the food, so indulging in healthy cravings when exhausted also helps me keep l, I don't know if someone else can relate with this.
I hope you learn from my method of how I regulate my physical, mental, and emotional state to be my full self again.
