This week @ladiesofhive comes up with yet another Power Questions where the Power of a Woman needs to be glorified.
1️⃣ Tell us about a woman you have met on Hive who has an inspiring story. Tell us why you were inspired by her story & how is it comparable to yours? Is she going through a similar experience?
Or
2️⃣ Let's talk about a resilient woman, it can be your friend, family member, co-worker, etc. What is her life challenge and what did she do to overcome the trial she faced?
I choose to answer the second one.
I have a long list when I think of such Women, but the one that I would like to talk about today, I have seen her coming out from the most toughest situations of her life with a smile and never giving up and finally also making it through.
This is about a lady in Muscat, when me and my hubby were new in the city she was the first one to reach out to us and gave us support in many ways. We had not got our license then and she would take us around to Markets and other places over the weekend. She would get us introduces to her other friends in city and she was very warm and welcoming towards us. She came out as a very happy go lucky person. No one would ever imagine that she would have any issues in her life. Always had a smile on her face. Gradually as I started getting to know her better, I learned that she has multiple issues in her life.
She was married but yet almost like a single mother to her child. Her Husband would never take care of any of her or the child responsibility, not emotionally, financially or even in terms of handing other responsibilities at home. All he would do was go to work, come home and spend all his time on gadgets. He was a gadget freak and would spend all his money buying new gadgets.
She was from Pakistan and He was from India and it was kind of a arranged marriage. One fine day he left the home and travelled back to India, without giving any information to her. She was in complete disbelief that he would do that also some day. And then she was alone managing everything. In that manner it did not bother much, because anyways she was managing all by herself, but the bigger issue for her was to fight out the divorce case. As it is matters of India and Pakistan are complex. She had a job but her salary was hardly anything, from which she had to pay the home rent, utility bills, her son's education and needs. I would always see that whenever we would go out, she would never order anything, but she would always for her son, who was just 4 years then. And then the divorce case expense also came up. More than the expense was the stress of dealing with her husband, because he was extremely difficult. He would not sign the documents and send. Every time she had to take the Embassy's help to get things done. She was a fighter, she never gave up. she faced all the odds.
In Muscat she was not having job stability, and her income was very poor. She did not want to go back to Pakistan and settle there. At that time one Angel came into her life and he was offering sponsorship for their Citizens to migrate to Canada. She thought about it and went with the offer. She also had to shell out a lot of money from her own pocket. She did everything she could to accumulate that money and paid. She had multiple rejections in the migration process and then it happened finally after 2 years.
After moving there, she had another challenge of getting a job. She was not getting one for a long time, and then finally some months back she got a full time permanent job. That was so much of a relief for her. When I think of her is all I can say she was a Power woman, so much determination and self belief, the never give up attitude and the most important is never complaint attitude.
With no exaggeration I can say that not even once I have heard her complaining. We would spend a lot of time together, and I would always find her joyful and smiling. I would wonder how she would do that all the time. She was a loving Mother, a Loving Daughter and a very loving friend. She would always look at the positive side of everything.
Finally after many years I now see her in a better place and settled in her life and I feel so happy for her. She is truly an inspiration to many.
I would like to invite @artemislives to participate in the contest
