Hello everyone
Hope this meets you well ๐
A few months ago, I wrote on this topic but I felt like writing something more. This time, we'll talk about the discomfort that comes with the "Red Lady" and how we deal with it.
First, as a lady, if your period doesn't come with pains, bloating or any discomfort you're highly blessed (Lol) and for those with pains or any discomfort like me let's talk about how we deal with it.
When my period started at age 13, it was followed by headache, backache, runny stomach, pains and those pains were almost unbearable for me, I would cry, roll on the bed, throw up and get feverish.
Whenever it started while I was in school or at work my friends would pay my transport back home but within the last 8 years, the pain has reduced and I don't throw up anymore.
How I deal with the discomforts
During the disturbing times, I used lots of pain reliefs ranging from "felvin, buscopan, Panadol extra, ibuprofen, ladinax" etc and the funny thing I noticed is that once I use a drug more than twice, it doesn't work for me anymore and my body gets used to it.
I kept changing drugs till my colleague introduced "Kacham" to me, I've been using that for years and it still works.
I've seen many people use cold or warm water, take Lipton tea (without milk) and it works for them, I keep wondering why It didn't work for me the same way. My close friend doesn't use pain relief like I do, she uses "alcohol" when she's on her period she gets lots of them and just drinks them till she feels better.
Some get runny stomach, bloating, pains, headache, backache, fever while in rare cases some faint.
I'm left with the question that seems like there's no answer to it, is there a solution to period pains?
Some say it's normal while others say it's not.
What do you think?
Does yours come with discomforts? If yes, how do you deal with it?
Thank you for reading my blog.
