The social media can be so full of deceit and that’s why I never get to believe all what I see. When I see people post up about their wins, it makes me feel less of myself but when I looked back at all the things I’ve done, I’m grateful and I can boast my chest that I’ve done a lot of things for myself. I’m proud of myself.
I’d love to share with you a moment which made me so proud of myself and also made me realize how much or how far I’ve gone in life.
A proud moment in my life
When I was in my service year here in Nigeria, I was paid stipends and I saved the money so well. A lot lf my friends were going out and spending the money the way they liked. Well, it’s their money and they can do whatever they want with it. I managed myself and went hungry saving up for the future even though I never had an idea of what I’d use the money for.
Suddenly, my dad brought up an idea of me starting up a mini mart. I never liked it at first but I saw it as a way of making more money and not being jobless. Also, it won’t make sense for me not to add at least a little amount of money to the business and that’s what brought me this far. The money I was able to save up helped me to fund my business.
As at twenty one, I was a millionaire in Naira and I’d keep moving and moving. A lot of my friends ain’t even in this level yet. A lot of them are struggling to feed. I’m not mocking them but I’m so glad and proud of myself. All my hungry days are not in vain.
Congratulations to me!
