in #hive-1244522 years ago

Good day to all the ladies of this wonderful community. Once again I'm taking a few minutes out of my busy day as a 24/7 mom to bring you my entry in this community's #128 quiz. Thanks to @ifarmgirl for coming up with this week's quiz questions. This particular contest really caught my attention because most women dream of a big dream wedding, filled with their closest family and friends, great food and good music. And that's fine, but it wasn't my case.

The idea of getting married with my husband was always to have a civil ceremony and then a small celebration in a beach house with a very native menu of our country since after getting married we would go to live in Tenerife, Spain. I even had the invitations ready with a date for March 30 and we had been gathering for a long time the money and supplies for our celebration since at that time, the situation in Venezuela was super tight for many. Well, my husband and I got married on Thursday, March 7, 2019. That day was recorded for history because it was when the blackouts started in Venezuela. This can be confirmed by my friend @rulirecomienda who was my witness with her husband 😅🙈 So the idea of the celebration at the beach house was no longer going to work, we had to move the festivity to next Monday and we had a very intimate celebration at my maternal grandmother's house in Cumaná. Many of my friends could not share with us because they were working for the time of the festivity, because it is worth mentioning that we started at 2pm to take advantage of the sunlight for fear that the electricity would go out. It was a total stress but it was what we had available for that moment and everything was very cool despite the hardships and we had a great time with our friends who were able to join us. It was a very simple celebration but filled with lots of love 💖

To married ladies, do you celebrate your wedding anniversaries? Describe how or what you usually do.

I love to celebrate my civil marriage anniversaries. My husband and I have been married for four (4) years and we always look for an occasion to celebrate this date 📆 But we had to celebrate it in quarantine by the COVID. By that time my husband was working and they declared quarantine here in Spain on April 13, 2020, if I remember correctly. So we left the celebration of our first year of marriage for the month of June where we went to a place called "Guachinche The Lamb". The Guachinches are very typical places here in Tenerife where years ago were the courtyards or garages of the houses of the time and offered typical homemade food and wine from the harvest of the house. Nowadays these places are more like a restaurant suitable for the whole family where you can taste the typical food of the Canary Islands.

The second year we celebrated in a restaurant called "Muelle Viejo" in Alcalá, Guía de Isora here in Tenerife. The company my husband works for gave him a kind of voucher 🎫 to eat at this restaurant for his tireless and valuable work during the COVID situation. And after a journey of more than an hour by bus 🚌to get to the site, enjoy the kind treatment of the staff, the exquisite and delicious food of the restaurant and the beautiful sea views 🌊 we were delighted and super satisfied.

The third year I was pregnant with my baby 🐣🍼 and wanted to stay home. But my husband gave me a beautiful mug of our family and my beloved sunflowers 🌻 and this current year, we celebrated our fourth year of marriage by going to a shopping mall in Santa Cruz de Tenerife called Meridiano, where we made a couple of purchases for our home and my husband gave me a very nice flannel and a very beautiful greyish bag. We also ate Kebab 🥙 in a very nice restaurant near the market Our Lady of Africa, but I did not get to take pictures because that day we were running around doing some shopping. The important thing is that we spent it together as a family ❤️ We always try to do something on this date to commemorate our love and stop and look at how far we have come and all that we have accomplished.

I'm sorry you could not have the wedding of your dreams, but trust me, no one gets that. I have been reading posts about this initiative, some have big dreams, which is not wrong, but we know life does work differently.

The good thing is you got to celebrate the anniversary each year and that's what counts.

A dream wedding means spending a lot of money and I think that if we had stayed in Venezuela we would have preferred to travel and get to know our country. It should be noted that everyone has the right to dream but you have to plan according to the possibilities of each couple.

Happy 4th Rosalmys and many, many more celebrations for you both :) It's good that although the original plan didn't go through on your wedding, at least it didn't dampen your spirits and had fun on the festivity with your friends and families.

Cheers to you and thank you for sharing your story :) It's nice that you enjoy your special days together❤️

Hello my friend @ifarmgirl That's right 😅 we came up with it and although the original plan didn't work out, we had just as great a time. Greetings to you.

That's nice that every year you have made it a point to celebrate your special day in a special manner. Your wedding and the 1st anniversary happened in a chaotic time, but then this also will be a lifelong memory for you. Wishing you many more years of love and happiness together
