I don't really own a lot of things, sad to say, I can just name a few of the things I own that I bought using my own money. It was just recently that I was able to buy things using my own money. Before, if I bought something using the money I got from Mommy F during Christmas, I would use it for a very long time until it got worn out because of overuse. There are times that I also get some things from my siblings or things they don't want to wear, and they pass them on to me. It is more like I forced them to give it to me, lolol. I mean, instead of making it rot in their storage box, better give it to someone who needs it, right? Lolol.
My siblings are more resourceful and determined to get what they want by working hard. And that's why they can get some things they want, they really work hard to get them. (I am the opposite of them, I'm just good at planning and take no action at all, a really bad habit of mine). And when they get bored with some of their things, they will start to work on them again to get another of their "wants." And that's when I will enter, I will ask for some of their leftovers, errrr- their things I mean and use them happily. At least their old things are being used happily by someone else. Ehe. It's a win-win for all of us, hihi. I got a free, useful thing, while they got another of their wants.
Anyway, this is one of the things I got from my little brother. It is a cheap copy of the Casio wristwatch, I'm not sure if it's original or just an imitation, but either way, its design is so pretty and cool. I just don't like the color because I prefer black, but it's not that bad either. My brother got it after working, and I am really not sure about the price. But then, he has to leave this home and go to Lipa to work, and this thing here was left in his storage box at home, dunno why. And so, I didn't force him to give this to me, haha, I actually volunteered to take care of it, and he gladly allowed it. And since then, I've been using it at home.
But seriously, I thought I would use it every day, I mean, wear it every day like some people do and pair it to complete an OOTD. But I am really not used to having anything attached to my body, I can only allow earrings, but not necklaces, rings, bracelets, or even a wristwatch. I hate that about myself, lol. When I wore them, I just felt like having them was a hassle because I had to remove them when I had to do the dishes or the laundry. And so, I stopped wearing the watch in everyday use. And it really looks good on my wrist - too bad I can't get used to it. And that wristwatch ended up in my cabinet.
But, you know, in the end, I was able to use it too, especially at night. It didn't rpt in mu cabinet, lol. It gave me another purpose, and it's been so useful since I got it in my hand. I thought I would never really use it anymore, but then again, to my surprise, it became more useful than I thought. I don't have a flashlight, and y'all know how a flashlight is really needed, especially at night. I hate disturbing everyone by turning on the light, so a flashlight is what I need. My mobile phone have it either, but I turn off my phone before I go tp bed and it's a hassle to open it. But then, this watch here came in handy that night. It doesn't produce a strong light, but it's enough to see my way to the comfort room.
This watch has four buttons, two on each side, and one of them is for the light. All I have to do is press it. It is so useful to me that when the battery finally ran out, I didn't throw it. I mean, I can just bring it to a repair shop to replace its battery, but I have a real flashlight now, and I also have it in my phone, so I just didn't let it be repaired. And I still don't want to throw it because it is an old thing from my brother, and even though I know for sure that he already forgot all this, I mean, it's been so many years already—still, it's been my savior during that time, and I don't want to part with it yet.
Yes, it's long gone already, it has no power, so there's no way that it will be useful to me now, but there was once a time that this thing became so useful to me. So, nah, I can't part with it yet. It looks really old and really worn out too, but still, I have no plan to throw it away. And it's not like this thing is disturbing me. It was carefully hidden in one of my storage boxes. And actually, another reason I don't want to hide it is because of its design. Isn't it cool? Ehe
