Greetings!
Favouritism has been in existence right from the inception of the world and this can be seen in the of the creation where God out of all He created, singled out man and gave man dominion over all other things He created. God said," let us make man in our own image, after our likeness and let him have dominion over...".
So, in the image of God, man was made and that's a typical example of favouritism, why? Because God favored man and chose man to be in his likeness. So, also for all human, there's favouritism everywhere, just name the place where favoritism doesn't exist, is it in the church,place of work, neighborhood, or even in the family? Let me even say that, the family is the abode of favouritism and that's why you see the parents having a favorite son or daughter among all. There's even a family in the scripture that used favouritism to disrupt and destroy their family. The Isaac family, in the family, the mother chose Jacob and the father Esau and that affected the fortune of the family. So, having a favorite in the family is actually not a crime, but showing it to the rest of the family can bring jealousy or hatred and this can cause trouble in the family.
But as for me, I have a favorite in my family and this my favorite person is my immediate sister, who doubles as my gist partner even not about her being my gist partner alone, she happens to be my only sister in the family. Ever since we were growing up together, I have always seen in her a lady full of life and virtue. Though, you all know as a young kid, there's always a rivalry between sibling, most especially when they are young and ours was not a different story back then, but to be candid, I and my younger Adeola, despite all our differences, we are still the best of friends and a gist partner and anytime I am in need of help, this lady is always there to give me all her support being it, emotional, physical, moral, financial, just name that kind of support you may imagine in this life. She's always there for me. We are so close that people used to be like, this girl will not see husband if you don't give her space to breathe, but what can I do, as all these are natural and the bond is so strong that it can't even be broken.
I could remember what she did for me sometimes ago. In the year 2017, when I was to invest into a particular and was looking for a person to stand in for me as I wouldn't be available to manage the business, this my younger sister stood in for me not only that, she also lend me part of the capital I used to start the business without hesitation, though, I returned the money back to her coz she did not give but lend me. So, she really stood by me through the thick and the thin part of my life and if there's anything I wants to do, she used to be the first I do discuss it with and it's always base on her advice that I act.
So, for all he has done for me, I used to respect and reciprocate her love towards me.
So, this was why when her own issue also came up, I took it upon myself to should all her responsibilities including her going through the university. I made sure I foot all the bills and I'm happy to have her as my favorite sibling, not only that, as my gist partner, helper in the time of need and most importantly, my encourager, she always lift my spirit up whenever I'm down. God bless you real good my sister. I love you so much.
I was there at her colorful convocation last year December. I was happy to be there to see her doing exploit in her academics and to represent our mum whom was late. Thank you my favorite younger sister for keeping the bond alive. And congratulations on your success. May God be with you.
