Have you ever read a poem as beautiful as a tree?
Joyce Kilmer wrote a poem in 1913, and he insisted that there cannot be anything that can match-up to the loveliness of a tree.
Trees gaze at the heavens night and day, and their branches and leaves seem to pray unceasingly.
It is intimate with the elements... the snow and rain. Birds build their nests in trees that are like crowns. And it nourishes itself by simply feeding from the earth!
No art that man makes can compare even the simple beauty of a tree! Joyce Kilmer says poetry is not able to capture the true beauty of nature. No poem can be “lovely as a tree.”
