Some of my habits – LOH # 220 Contest (Eng/Spn)

Greetings to all, in this beautiful Ladies of Hive Community. Heeding the call of this contest number 220, today I return to participate. Here I share this week's invitation. Thank you @merit.ahama for these great questions!

The two questions posed in the contest are interesting, however, I will partially answer the first one: What are your eating habits like? Do you have favourite self-care recipes? And do you tend to eat whatever you crave for?

I would like to have better eating habits, but due to the situation in the country, it is difficult to access certain foods. In my case, I love vegetables and fruits, but I eat them less than I would like, since where I live, few are produced and, sometimes, there is not enough of them on the market, in addition to being expensive. However, and as far as possible, I try to incorporate them in one way or another in my diet. And something important that I include is spices, because these, in addition to giving good flavor to food, also provide vitamins and minerals to the human body.

On the other hand, after COVID I could say that my stomach has shrunk, which is why I eat much less food than before the pandemic. Another habit we have at home is fasting. Usually my first meal occurs between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., depending on the activities of the day. Another habit I am trying to get back into is the daily consumption of yogurt, which, although it is not vegan, because I make it with milk of animal origin, strengthens my intestinal microbiota and makes me feel better, with more energy.

And since my diet is not as balanced as it should be, I am taking various nutritional supplements and medications, such as folic acid, aspirin, biotin (in gummies) and magnesium. With this I try to meet the needs of certain microelements, while strengthening my immune system.

On the other hand, I like to sweeten my life from time to time, and although I am not one to consume extremely sweet drinks or foods, a cookie can bring great joy to the soul and the stomach, so I always have a package of cookies in the pantry, or I prepare one or two trays, to eat as a snack in the afternoons or at night.

Saludos a todos en esta hermosa Comunidad de Ladies of Hive. Atendiendo la convocatoria de este concurso número 220, hoy vuelvo a participar. Aquí les comparto la invitación de esta semana. Gracias @merit.ahama por estas estupendas preguntas!

Las dos preguntas planteadas en el concurso son interesantes, sin embargo, responderé en parte la primera: ¿Cómo son tus hábitos alimenticios? ¿Tienes recetas de autocuidado favoritas? ¿Y sueles comer todo lo que te apetece?

Yo quisiera que mis hábitos alimenticios fuesen mejores, no obstante, por la situación del país, es difícil acceder a ciertos alimentos. En mi caso me encantan los vegetales y las frutas, pero los consumo menos de lo que quisiera, ya que en donde vivo se producen pocos y, en ocasiones, no hay suficiente oferta de estos en el mercado, además de ser costosos. No obstante, y dentro de lo posible, intento incorporarlos de una u otra forma en mi alimentación. Y algo importante que incluyo, son las especias, porque estas además de dar buen sabor a las comidas, también aportan vitaminas y minerales al cuerpo humano.

Por otra parte, luego del COVID podría decir que mi estómago se redujo, razón por la cual, consumo mucha menos cantidad de alimentos que antes de la pandemia. Otro hábito que tenemos en casa es el ayuno. Por lo general mi primera comida ocurre entre las 11:00 a.m. a la 1:00 p.m., dependiendo de las actividades del día. Otro hábito que estoy tratando de recuperar, es el consumo diario de yogurt que, si bien no es vegano, porque lo elaboro con leche de origen animal, fortalece mi microbiota intestinal y me hace sentir mejor, con más energía.

Y ya que mi dieta no es tan equilibrada como debería ser, estoy consumiendo varios suplementos alimenticios y medicamentos, como son: Ácido fólico, aspirina, biotina (en gomitas) y magnesio. Con esto trato de suplir las necesidades de ciertos microelementos, a la vez que fortalezco mi sistema inmune.

Por otra parte, me gusta endulzarme la vida de vez en cuando, y si bien no soy de consumir bebidas o comidas extremadamente dulces, una galletita puede brindar gran alegría al alma y al estómago, así que siempre tengo en la despensa algún paquete de galletas, o me preparo una que otra bandeja, para comer como merienda en las tardes o en la noche.

Aquí termino mi post de hoy, intentando dar respuesta a una pregunta que nos hace mirar nuestros hábitos diarios. I feel good to hear from you about having healthy foods in your daily routine but the astonishing thing is I also think that my stomach shrinks after the pandemic why is it? I haven't figured it out yet but the same thing happened with you 🥲 it means that's probably something cause of the pandemic btw this topic is very interesting I feel so good knowing healthy people like me also exist in this world 😜🤣 (kidding)

I don't know the reason for the stomach reduction, in fact, I did not get vaccinated against COVID, and my treatment was allopathic and naturopathic, more naturistic than allopathic the two times I experienced COVID. It really was an evil and intelligent virus that did a lot of damage. Thank God it's not so deadly anymore.

Me sentí identificada con el post. Amó comer sano pero la situación del país hace eso casi imposible. Intento lo que puedo con lo que tengo. Sin embargo, me parece genial que puedas tomar suplementos y que en medida de lo posible tengas buenos hábitos.

Y tal como dices, una galleta puede endulzar tu vida, más si es una oreo ✨

Me alegra que resonases con mi post. Comer sano es algo maravilloso, pero no siempre alcanzable en este país. Imagínate lo que sufre un vegetariano o un vegano, no es fácil. Y sí, las Oreo son geniales, a mí me gustan en todas sus versiones.

Ohhh, it would be great to have everything you need for a great diet, although it is not always possible, which is why you have to opt for other alternatives, such as nutritional supplements and vitamins.
