Hi everyone
Weird food combination, I've had a few combinations before, some of which I still try till now and others I don't.
Growing up as kids we were introduced to several food combinations and got used to them. What I don't know is if there is a guideline for food like what should be combined with what? I don't remember going through any guidelines though.
Here are some of the weird food combinations I've tried.
- Beans and Eba: this combination is the weirdest mix, I know it doesn't make sense when you think of it but it works surprisingly. I remember when my mum would prepare beans and make the beans watery so it can be good as soup. The reason behind the eba was so the food will hold us a little longer before we get hungry again I think because after taking it you'll be heavy in a way you won't be able to stand up immediately after eating it.
Spaghetti and Beans: Never thought something like this existed, I've never imagined this combination before. The first time I had was the early part of last year when I went visiting and my sister was preparing it and I asked what she was preparing she said the two words "spaghetti and beans" I was shocked like cooking it together she said yes, that I was going to like it and I said okay. When she finished preparing we had it and it was nice though not like I expected it to be. It's like spaghetti Jollof with beans added, I must confess the combination was dope.
Rice and okro soup: I know some people are like, how do these two even go together, what happened to your stew and egg sauce right?well I've had it before and I like it, I still have it till now. I like this combination.
Egusi, Eba, and Boiled ripe plantain: this particular one is for the typical Ijaw people(those from the southern part of Nigeria) they love this combination, they can't eat their shallow without adding boiled plantain to it.
It's something I've tried also but it's been a while though.
Special appreciation to the @ladiesofhive community for this contest. I would like to invite @meyateingi and @treasuree to check it out.
