My name is Wiweyon (which means a clean slate). I am 26 years old and from a small town called Ikoga-Zebbe in Badagry local government in Lagos state. I belong to one of the minority tribe in Nigeria - Egun. I'm a medical doctor who just finished housemanship (or internship), I'm currently a medical officer who works part time in small private hospitals in my state.
Being a Baker
Asides being a doctor, I'm also a baker. I started baking at the age of 12. I love using sugar, flour, butter and other amazing stuff to make magic. In all I love being creative with food. You know sugar, spice and everything nice🙃.My passion for baking led me to open my online cake shop known as Thecakedr while I was in school. My mother was a baker and I guess baking is just in my genes. I also love to watch food shows and learn new recipes and cuisines.
My hometown - The black heritage
I'm from a village called Ikoga-Zebbe in Badagry. It is located at the border between Lagos and Benin-republic. My hometown is rich with both cultural and tourist attractions. There are so much to learn and enjoy from my village. Unfortunately, I didn't have the pleasure of growing up there and I've only visited twice. I visited the slave trade and black history museum, the gberefu island (point of no return), the first story building in Nigeria, the Agia tree monument and the velelete slave trade market and the famous whispering palms resort which offers an escape from urban life and gives daily fun and relaxation
My Profession
I'm currently a medical officer (which is a doctor that is not yet in any specialty). But I hope to delve into Public health in future. This is because I wish to prevent the occurrence of diseases by educating the masses at the grassroot levels on how to avoid occurrence of illnesses, to identify and treat diseases early enough to avoid complications. I also wish to do some research in future and find cure to some diseases.
Family
My mum currently does local beautiful adire (tie and dye) and my dad was an aeronautical engineer ( he is now retired). I'm the 4th of 5 children. I have three older brothers- One in the military, followed by two loving identical twins. My younger sister is an undergraduate student studying engineering.
Friends
I'm an introvert and as such I have a small circle of friends. Even though we don't stay in the same city anymore because of work, we try as much to keep up with ourselves via social media and hang out once in a while during our leave.
Hobbies
I enjoy traveling, though I've not been able to do a lot of traveling because of the hectic nature of my job. I also enjoy running, playing badminton and volleyball and watching football. Most times when I'm indoors, I spend my leisure time reading crime thriller novels or watching latest Hollywood sci-fi movies. I enjoy socializing, meeting new people and visiting family and friends.
I'm particularly here to write more, create memories, discover myself, meet interesting individuals and get more knowledge about different things.
