I've noticed more talk about controlled burning to help fight the problem of wildfires in California.
California does do control burns, they call it prescribed burning. It is a common practice and the state predicts the use/need for it will grow.

I'm not sure if people think prescribed burning would had stopped the Palisades Fire or not. I'm not sure if it would had helped or had been an option in that area.
It's still worth discussing rather or not it would had been an option/helped stopped this wildfire from starting.
