I hope you are having a great Wednesday and enjoying your work/blogging/gaming or whatever you are doing. I would like to touch base a topic which is nowadays which is being used by most of the people as we use laptops/desktops/tabs/mobiles or any other devices which use internet.
Having said this, for all these things, we need One or the other software and software, as we are aware, is a combination of code written in various languages such as C, C++, Java or Dot Net or even Python and I am sure there are many other Software programming languages are also used.
With these software, our life is made easy as with click of few buttons or mouse clicks, we can complete our day to day tasks whether it is paying bills, watching movies or competing our work related tasks.
With all the great comforts, there will also be some kind of hindrances and Software is not spared either as we see so many malicious contents are created and are being shared with the software we use.
Viruses (not the viruses related to health and all), yes the software related viruses are common since many years which will affect the functionality of normal software we use and will contaminate the software and will force the software users to enter their personal information and that is used to steal the monetary things from users.

So, software viruses are the malicious code which is injected along with the normal good software and which infects the computers or laptops or even mobiles thru various software we use.
I would like to share my experience which I had recently and I am sure this will be helpful to someone.
Nowadays, on instagram, facebook and many other social media platforms, there is option to sell your content by creating a web page for your store and ask the users to visit their store via links and the services.
I got to visit One such store recently and brought a bundle of software from them as the reviews were good and I was getting the software bundle at much cheaper price compared to the individual software price available in that bundle.
I just purchased it and tried to install. Couple of software got installed without any issue as the instruction clearly said, we need to turn off WIFI and also disable the antivirus. So, there were no issues at all and I was able to use it for sometime without any issue.
But, when I turned off the computer and switched it on next day, my system started behaving weirdly and software I installed was giving errors and my antivirus (I use McAfee) started alerting me telling that there has been some virus infiltration thru those software installed!!!!
I immediately went and selected a previously saved system image backup which was captured before installation of these software and system was back to normal.
This one incident opened my eyes and from then on, I never purchased any such software however cheap those are!!!

My point behind telling all this is to elaborate on the importance of an antivirus software especially when we connect to internet as the scammers/fraudsters use many tricks to get into our systems and try to steal the information.
So, antiviruses are a must and we shouldn't even start the system without installing one.
We might spend few bucks and initially it might look like a bit expensive, but the savings on the data protection and safeguard of software we have already will be way bigger than the few bucks we have to spend on antivirus software.
We get to hear about the fraudulent activities being reported by many every day, whether it's cybercrime of stealing the data from computer, or asking to install some .apk file related to Government app or some game on mobile phones, everywhere the information is trying to be stolen and it's our duty to be vigilant and pay attention to even smaller things when sharing our data or clicking on those links.
A few seconds of extra time spent on the activities we do on our mobile/laptop/desktop, will save us from great disasters with regards to software virus or trackers or similar kind of things which will try to steal the information.
Why I am writing about this topic of Software and Viruses?
