Awwee!

If anyone's interested, shoot me a DM and I'll give you my dentist in Hollywood contact.

Smoking, that's another one I could go on and on and on about. It's so socially acceptable in EU and UK. Grandma, kids, everyone's smoking in doorways, at tables in the restaurant, bus stops, everywhere is smoking smoking smoking. HUGE difference to what I'm used to.

Sort:

Oh I fear in this point I will have to disapoint you, because I still smoke. Thats that Austrian coffee thing, a coffe without cigarettes isnt the same ;-)
But I am happy that we stopped smoking inside restaurants, hehe going outside for a cigarette, you know that often non-smoker join because there is the most fun and meeting people?

You, disappoint? Never.

If smoking is prohibited indoors in Austria, your country is unique cuz it's acceptable most EU. SO acceptable. Where I'm from you gotta be so many feet away from public doorways, taxis can't smoke, no smoking on beaches or even near a restaurant, not on the patio or anything.

Funny, when we're out we have to guage the wind when picking a seat as well as scope out the tables for packs of cigarettes. Yeah, here comes the Americans! If we can't sit upwind or are outnumbered by smokers, we respectfully decline.

We're not offended, it's cultural, we just opt-out.

Now, weed, on the other hand, shoooooooot. Totally acceptable. Restaurants, beaches, tax cabs, it's just a plant like vanilla, cinnamon, etc. = }

Maybe we need cigarettes and "do you have fire" because we dont smile?

Have you ever heard the saying "I plead the 5th"? In the US, the fifth amendment means right to remain silent. In response to cigarettes, coffee and what I may or may not believe the correlation to not smiling....

"I plead the fifth."
