Since mid-December, when we put up a Christmas tree in our office space I have been thinking about gifts.
First it was my turn to figure out what to buy a colleague whose name I pulled out of the hat during the Secret Santa selection.
I knew she was an amateur photographer, so I bought her a book that could help her with some tips...
After putting up the Christmas tree in the office, it was time to put up the Christmas tree in our home.
Taken out of the box that was in the basement, mounted on a stand and decorated with ornaments.
Our Christmas tree received several new decorations and shone in full glory.
An old, glass ornament with a small yellow chicken (the only one left from my childhood) found its place on the Christmas tree.
It is still necessary to put presents under the tree...
Right from the middle of December, we started exchanging mobile phones for some of our colleagues.
The distribution of the devices started before the New Year holidays without any intention, simply, it was set up that way due to long delivery times...
Day by day, the boxes with new mobile phones were emptied, and my colleagues left my office very satisfied with the mobile phones they received.
And how did my colleagues perceive me? As their Santa Claus.
I gave them "gifts", and they will be able to give the mobile phones they have used so far to someone else, their children, parents, grandparents. Each of them will be someone's Santa Claus.
And who will Santa Claus be for me?
There's no replacement phone for me (yet), so I'll have to fend for myself...
I took advantage of the pre-New Year's discounts and bought full bags of nice clothes, shirts and sweaters in an outlet mall, which are going as gifts under the Christmas tree for me and my partner.
Don't think that I'll get away with only gifts from the outlet center, I'm already thinking about the model of mobile phone I should buy her, and at the same time I'm looking at plane tickets for our spring trip.
I compare the prices of air transportation, I look at hotel prices and think of where we could go, so that I can include that trip as a New Year's gift... It is stupid to list that trip as her birthday present, which comes shortly after the new year, and that's why I have to hurry up with the decision.
If I don't organize to buy plane tickets for the trip, I already have a backup, one Samsung Fit3 bracelet, which will be added as a New Year's gift, and the trip goes as a birthday present...
Anyway, I have a month of shopping coming up, and that's nice. when you are not burdened with money and when you have someone to shop for.
