Good evening, to everyone here in the Ecency family. It's my pleasure to welcome every one of you to my blog.
I've noticed that ever since I started writing in this community, I've never discussed anything about sports. Sport, as the name suggests, is one of the most attractive recreational activities I've fallen in love with.
When I was in primary school, I did a lot of sports, even in secondary school and college. Out of all the sports I've got to know, I was always engaged in volleyball and football.
Each time I played, I felt this strength in me. And anytime I see a group of young guys playing any of those I've mentioned, I'm always impressed.

But I didn't want to talk about myself; I wanted to talk about the football match which took effect in my school this afternoon. The football competition was between the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
I took my time to watch the match. I can tell you that I enjoyed the football match because the two faculties, played to my satisfaction.
It's been a long time since I watched such wonderful performances from my fellow students. The Department that represented the Faculty of Arts was the Department of Linguistics And Nigerian Languages. The Department that represented the Faculty of Science was the Department of Electrical Engineering.
They started with prayer because that is inevitable. On a football pitch, some people do get hurt, but with effective prayers, such harm can't befall any of them.
They started the match at about 1. pm. They didn't stay longer on the football pitch because other faculties were also having their match.
But both faculties were able to maximize the little time that was given to them.
As they continued to play, I stood up from where I was, and I moved closer to take a photo of them. I screamed at the top of my voice, and people were looking at me.
They thought I was possessed or maybe had a mental problem. One of them asked me why I shouted like that, and I told her, was overwhelmed by the two faculties' performance that was why I shouted.
I must confess I had a great day today in school. At first, I didn't want to watch the match because I was having a headache but being a lover of sport, I had to ignore what I was experiencing just to have fun with my people.
Immediately after the first round, they were asked to relax for a while, and they did. Later, the whistle was blown, and they returned to the football pitch.
They started the second round with much strength. At first, I thought the Faculty of Science would score at least one goal because of how they played.
But I was shocked to see the faculty of art, which I assumed wouldn't score any goal because of how weak they were during the second round, scoring three goals within a short period.
I was so excited to see their performance. I'm a student in the Faculty of Arts, and also in the Department of Linguistics And Nigerian Languages; I'm proud of my faculty and Department.

They're now qualified to play their semi-finals.
I know they're many sports lovers here, so I would also love to hear your side of the story.
