Greetings!
For the past couple of days, we've had a steady supply of electricity, which has allowed me to complete most of my work with ease, especially since I didn't have to spend money on costly fuel. I was able to attend to all my tasks and even got some rest. Since the power supply had been stable, with only occasional outages, I decided to postpone ironing my church clothes until later on Saturday evening or night. But guess what? The power didn't come back on all through Saturday. I regretted not ironing my clothes on the days we had light.
The only options left were either to wear the clothes as they were, unironed, or to turn on the generator early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m., to iron them before getting ready for church. The latter was the better option for me because I could never see myself wearing unironed clothes to church.
When I woke up on Sunday morning around 4:00 a.m., I realized there was no way I could bring out my generator at that hour of the night. It would have been too risky, as someone could easily steal it even while it was running. So, I waited until 6:00 a.m., when it was light outside, to bring it out and iron my clothes. In the end, I ended up going to church a bit late. I guess that was my punishment for trusting too much in the availability of public electricity.
Sunday was a fine day. Church ended, but I started feeling a stomach ache from hunger. I had to rush home after the service, but unfortunately, I didn’t have any prepared food waiting for me. So, when I got home, I drank plenty of water to ease the hunger a bit before preparing my meal. Lol😅
After eating, I relaxed a little until it was time for the Manchester United vs. Chelsea match. I went to a betting shop on our street to watch the match, which lasted until around 7:30 p.m. It was an entertaining match since both teams are rivals, and their fans didn’t hold back. I'm not a fan of either team, so I enjoyed all the laughs and the trolling between both sets of fans.
How was your Sunday? Hope you enjoyed it!
