How to gain confidence in yourself.

Everyone seems to understand how good it is to be confident. Self-confidence can lead to better success in work, study, and relationships. Self-confidence allows you to learn from your mistakes, and to do what you believe in, even though those around you are not happy about it. But is it possible to learn it, and if so, how?

Yes, it is possible to gain and develop confidence in oneself, however, unfortunately, it cannot be done in one day. However, the work you put into developing self-confidence will certainly pay off and confidence will succeed.

The first thing you should start with is to prepare for the path to convince yourself. This is a very important point - just like packing your backpack properly before the trip. The first task of preparation is to find out what you have already achieved! Think and write on the page all the achievements that have been so far. I would recommend that this list be beautifully presented and placed somewhere so that you can look at and enjoy the achievements that already exist at least once a week.

The next task is to analyze your strengths and weaknesses. Answer yourself honestly - which qualities hinder your progress and what qualities can help you. I definitely recommend asking one of your family or close friends to tell you about your strengths and weaknesses. Be sure to spend extra time evaluating how to use your positive qualities.

The next important point of preparation is to determine your values. Think about what is important to you. Think about what you really want to achieve in life. I have already written about goal setting. Set goals that match your strengths, and set goals that reduce the impact of your weaknesses. And for each goal you set, add the very first step you take. This first action does not have to be a big one - on the contrary, it is just a specific action that can be done in about an hour. Setting the right goals is the key to achieving your goals, succeeding, and developing your self-esteem.

In the preparation phase, you definitely need to think about what and how you will express and think about yourself. You need to capture all the usual negative thoughts you are used to using on a daily basis. You have to promise yourself that it will be different in the future and that you are determined to change your life and achieve your goals. And if there are any fears in your head, write them down. And look at them after day. They will often seem ridiculous, but if there are grounds for concern, think of a plan of action.

When the preparation is complete, you have to go! As with the hike, you must first reach for the small and simple goals. For others, I often recommend writing all the things down. Write the goals in a column, with the most difficult goal at the top and the easiest task at the bottom. And you have to start from the bottom. Every time you delete a goal from the list, you will feel an influx of strength and confidence. In addition, by realizing smaller goals, you accustom yourself to the fact that you can achieve something, as well as often acquire various skills and abilities, which will definitely help to achieve big goals. And be sure to note each goal you have achieved. Be proud of yourself! Again, throughout the process, be aware of all your negative thoughts and fears, if there are any, and proceed as I have described. Don't try to be a perfectionist and allow yourself to be mistaken. Especially in things and situations that are new and unprecedented to you. Making mistakes is part of success!

Once you have achieved several smaller goals, you have accustomed yourself to the idea that you can achieve the goals, and you can start with bigger goals. However, remain "on the ground". People often overestimate themselves after the first achievements and set reckless goals, most often followed by failure to achieve them.

Good luck on your way to new heights in your life! And feel free to write in the comments your thoughts or share with someone who might find this post useful.
