Hello Ecencials and Hivians! I hope everyone is enjoying the vibes in the city of Ecency. Personally, I am. We're continuing to share our most-used and favorite features of Ecency and the Ecency app. As I always mention, it's a great chance for me to share my enthusiasm for something I find special, highly productive, and genuinely helpful for my hive journey. A quick disclaimer: I'm not an Ecency official; I'm just a passionate Ecencial and an Ecency fanatic, who has fallen in love with it's ecosystem.

What captivates me the most about Ecency, besides its fantastic features, is the incredible community members from different parts of the globe. I often marvel at how they've brought together such wonderful individuals from diverse backgrounds. These individuals ride the Ecency waves, particularly through the microblogging feature, where I've connected and made most of my friends on Hive. However, I'll reserve the discussion about the remarkable Ecency community for a separate post. The Ecency spinner Game:
One of the most coveted things on all of hive, particularly for content creators aiming to boost or promote their quality content, is the Ecency points. I must admit, these points acted as the enticing factor that led me into the fantastic Ecency community. There's a widely acknowledged phrase on Hive that my mentor, @melinda010100, shared with me, and I'll quote it in my own way " I came for the points but I stayed for the community".
Anyway, there are numerous ways to earn Ecency points, and I'll create a separate post covering all the possible methods. Today, I just want to focus on one often overlooked by users, and some might not even be aware it exists—the Ecency spinner game. The Ecency app offers this fantastic feature, allowing you to spin and win points every day (within a 24-hour period from your last claim). The best part is, you don't have to do much to earn Ecency points; just click the spin button, and voila, you've won.
Now, having said this, just imagine all the points you might have missed by not knowing this—quite a fortune! It could practically secure you real estate in the city of Ecency. Well, you can thank me now.
Allow me to guide you through the process:
- To access this feature, you must have the Ecency app and be logged in with your Hive info. If you don't have the app, you can download it from the Play Store or the App Store through the links below.
- Tap on the wallet icon in the menu bar below to view your Hive wallet page.
- Tap on the + sign on the "Get Points" bar. Note that if you have unclaimed points, the bar will say the number of unclaimed points; after claiming, it changes to "Get Points."
- A new page opens where you can view all the points available for purchase with your Visa or credit card. At the bottom of the list, you'll find the "Free Points" bar. Tap on that.
- Another page opens where you can spin the wheel to win your free Ecency points. The surrounding numbers represent the possible values you can win. I hope luck is on your side. Tap on the "Spin and Win" bar below.
- Then, bam! I suppose I just won 45 points. The best part is that you can do this every 24 hours for free, and on days when luck is on your side, you might win big. Additionally, if you're feeling lucky, you can purchase more spinning chances with your Visa or credit card.
This is one of the amazing features that makes the Ecency app a delight. They generously distribute Ecency points as a gesture of their love for the Hive community. Unlike some projects that restrict point usage to their own community and ecosystem, Ecency allows you to boost content published in any community. The only caveat is they give more priority to their Ecencials—content created through the Ecency app. I encourage you to try out the app and the Ecency Spinner Game feature; trust me, you won't regret it.

Always Getting Better: Even though I've recently joined, I've noticed that Ecency has been consistently rolling out major updates in the past year. This shows their commitment to innovation and making sure users are happy. The better Notifications, easy-to-use Wallet, simpler Signup processes, and improved RC delegations are all focused on giving users a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
Improved Decks and Waves: Furthermore, the updated Decks, now presented on a dedicated page, enables users to organize information more effectively. The introduction of "Waves," which happens to be my favorite, brings a fresh aspect to creating short-form content, catering to the diverse preferences within the community.
Premium Accounts: The addition of Premium accounts, which offer more Resource Credits and bonus Points for quick account creation, shows Ecency's commitment to making their platform more accessible and advantageous for users.
Floating FAQ and 3Speak Integration: The Floating FAQ offers helpful guidance for newcomers, simplifying navigation. Moreover, incorporating 3Speak video features, such as uploading and recording videos, enhances the overall content creation experience.
Maintaining Key Services: The proposal details Ecency's dedication to sustaining and enhancing key services, including the Ecency website, mobile apps, Hivesearcher search engine, Hivesigner OAuth2 standard, Ecency RPC full node, and other essential components.
Future Plans:
Ecency has great plans for the future, including the exploration of Ecency Lite, Reals/Shorts video uploads (One that I believe will significantly boost the user base of Ecency.), improved filters for Waves/threads🌊 ,the introduction of Ecency chat and many more which can be found in the proposal link page.
