Hello there! It feels good to be here. I am excited to be a part of this community. My name is Mabel Tanko, I'm a new member in the Hive community.
My sister, Rejoice Tanko #resounding invited me and I'm thrilled to be here.
Like I said earlier, My name is Mabel Tanko, a graduate of Kaduna State University, Kaduna. I studied English and drama and just graduated, awaiting NYSC.
As an English student, I've always envisioned myself being a great writer someday.
I love to read, my best writers are : Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, Chimamanda and of course Williams Shakespeare just to mention a few.
I am also a fashion designer, currently trying to set up my own fashion brand I named “Zee’s couture”. The name “Zee” is from my native name, (Zichat).
I love making new friends and hanging out and with time, I'll get to share some fun places we go during the weekends. Weekends are more therapeutic to me.
Hobbies: Dancing, eating, hanging out, traveling, reading and yes, making beautiful dresses! I've always loved dancing since childhood but wasn't flexible, as such I joined a dance academy in my 100l back then in Uni and to make learning much easier, I became a chronic tik tok catching up with trending dance challenges. Less I forget, I joined the KASU basketball team while in school, all in my quest to make life interesting and yes! Everything I did while in school was fun!!
One of the most important and intriguing events for me was the KASU/18’ sets students week. I planned everything even before time, being one of the happiest graduating students, knowing very well I'd never have to celebrate a thing like that again. Chasing a Bachelor degree is OVER! And just before I return to chase my masters degree, I know well I wouldn't have to think of waking up for (8:AM) lectures, I wouldn't be under any form of pressure to submit an assignment, or hold class presentations as it was. My reasons for being extremely excited are justified I guess. Some of my friends who weren't students in KASU turned up to cheer me on and make the event more colorful. I love them dearly and if only I could turn back the hands of time, I wouldn't mind redoing students' week.
