Honesty is the best policy but many people do not agree with that in some ways which seems wild. Honest is a Scrupulous with regard to telling the truth; not given to swindling, lying, or fraud; upright. Honest can be seem as an absent of Lie.
Once upon a time, in the year 2018,at eleventh hour of the day. I went to a butcher shop close to my house to buy a chicken meat. When I reached the shop, the butcher woman was already planning to close shop for the day. I begged her to sell meat for me because I can't find another close by shop at that hour of the day.
She asked me if I want full chicken or just the thighs, I told her to bring full chicken for me. After some couple of minutes that she went inside her shop, she came out with a chicken meat which she weighed using her weighing machine and the meat weighed 2kg. I wasn't pleased with the size and the weight of the chicken because the size is way too small compared to the ones I normally buy from market.
I asked her to go and bring another chicken meat so that I could make a choice between the chicken meats. She went back with the first meat and that triggered a suspicious attitude in her behavior. She later came back with a chicken,weighed it and the meat weighed 2.3kg. I asked her to go and bring the first meat that I would love to buy the two chicken meat so that I won't bother stressing myself about meat during the weekend.
She was staring at me without doing what I asked her to do. I was moved to ask her why she suddenly turn to a deaf and dumb person. She found it very difficult to respond but she later talked to me. She said, "I am so sorry ma'am for what I just did now.The meat I'm holding is the same with the first meat I brought out before. I only pressed the weighing machine with my thumb when I was trying to weigh the meat so that the weight will pass 2kg"

I was totally flabbergasted and at the same time disappointed in the butchers attitude towards me. She started begging me not to disclose what happened to anybody so that people won't stop patronizing her. I promised her that I will not tell anybody but she has to change her ways of doing business from defrauding people into an HONEST one. I told her that she should have told me that it was only one meat that remained instead of trying to deceive me.
I want everyone of you reading this post to reflect and check yourself very well. You may fall in this category of people that do their business in a deceptive way. They always like to take advantage of people who comes in contact with them without checking the outcome of their actions.
