Change the perspective, look at the world through the eyes of a child

Since we cannot change reality, let us change the eyes which see reality

Nikos Kazantzakis

All of us adults (or those of us who think we are adults), should know all the benefits of changing the angle of looking at various situations in our lives.

When we get out of our reality, we can see some new options, which can lead us to new ideas and reveal some new solutions.

Observing a situation from different sides can help us see a situation in a bigger picture, different from the one we saw while we were stuck in one way of thinking. In this way, we will also reduce the level of stress that creates a view from only one side.

Not to mention that, by looking at the situation from another angle, we will see the situation through other people's eyes, the eyes of our colleague, neighbor, friend.
In this way, we will, in addition to the situation, better understand the people in our environment.

And by looking at a situation from multiple angles, our horizons broaden, we become more open to different approaches, we grow.

Being able to look at a situation from multiple angles is a skill that can be learned and improved.
We are born without this skill and we develop it through the situations we encounter in life.
When we master this skill, it can open the door to new opportunities and a better life.

This morning the above quote follows me to work.
And next to my quote calendar is a red clown nose, the same one Robin Williams wore in the movie Patch Adams.
A clown's nose, which I buy every year on January 1 in the "Open heart" street in Belgrade, and with the purchase of which we help a charity campaign to help sick children.
A sick child.
It is a moment in which an adult, as a parent, friend or family member, can hardly change their perspective.
An adult will do everything in his or her power to help the child heal as soon as possible and be smiling and healthy again.

And the child?
The child will also look at his illness with different eyes. Children's eyes.
Without the learned skill of changing the angle of view. They will look at parents, family members and friends who are sad and grieve with them.

Unless someone, like Patch Adams, puts this red clown nose on his nose and makes a sick kid laugh.

Then the children's eyes become happy, their faces brighten and they forget for a moment where and why they are.

Sometimes even the most difficult and blackest situation becomes happier and brighter when viewed through the eyes of a child, without great expectations, needs and intentions, innocent and pure.
