Life

The last few days I've been focusing more on charting, trading and testing different trading strategies. For me this is not work, it's something I enjoy a lot. They say do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life, which is true to some extent. However, this job requires a lot of things, among which, maybe the most important two are self control and sticking to the rules.

Rebel Or Not?

I think it's normal behavior to be a bit of a rebel at an early stage of your life. Most likely we all went through these phases, when we did not want to do what we've been told. Bending the rules, telling white lies or just not disclosing everything is part of the growing up process. Obviously not every parent is the same, so rules are different in each family and kids are also different, but I don't think there's one in the world to blindly obey all the rules.

Teenagers are known to go through difficult periods, some go off the rails and damage their life forever at a very early age, while others have their rebel period, after which they get back on track and realize rules are not all bad and have their purpose as well.

Self Control And Rules

As I said at the beginning of my post, lately I've been testing strategies, watching the market and charting. All this requires a lot of focusing, checking and calculating. I've been doing all this while #PEPE was taking overt the crypto space, making the headlines every single hour.

Getting rich overnight by doing nothing is everyone's dream. Crypto is getting a lot of attention and this is just the beginning. As trading is available to anyone with a smartphone and internet connection, basically everyone can become a trader. There are a bunch of ads especially at the beginning of crypto videos, showing you how to become a trader in 30 seconds.

These days most of the newcomers are coming into the cryptosphere at a very young age, with their rebel attitude and hoping to hit the jackpot overnight, by buying some ....coins that are promised to moon in no time. #PEPE is one of them but not the only one. These coins pop up like fungi after the rain and disappear just as fast as they appear. Some of the so called traders have the same faith unfortunately, for a good reason.

Getting rid of a rebel behavior is not easy. The longer you're a rebel, the harder it is to change. You need a reason to change and need to be convinced of the need of change. Once you enter the crypto world with that rebel attitude, you most likely get a life lesson that will make you understand that in this business there's no room for hardcore rebels, nor for rule breakers.

There are a lot of rules in trading and a lot of emotions as well, even though there's no room for the latter. The hardest thing to do is to sit on your hands and do nothing, when the setup is not exactly as it should be. Bending the rules and cutting corners has a very high price. Those rules have been created to keep you safe and the sooner you realize that, the better and easier for you.

I've been watching my Twitter feed being full about #PEPE tweets. Basically it was a power measuring contest (avoiding to use the actual word that describes what kind of measuring contest it was), between old and new traders. Everyone was flexing their muscles, posting what trades they took and how much they made. There was only one, who admitted investing in 4 sh*tcoins, 1 of which was profitable according to him, the other two were losers and he got rugged on the last one. This is basically gambling as the risk of getting rekt is so high.

However, one trader's loss is the other trader's gain as they say. You have to sell your tokens to someone and who would you sell it to, if not to those who come in late and have no clue what they are doing as they don't do their homework. The question is which one do you want to be.

Self Control And Self Discipline

Today life is full of influencers. There's a huge supply on the market. There's demand as well as people what to know what to do, to be successful. Most likely I don't have to tell you how many of those influencers have the true intention of helping you, instead of helping themselves.

Now the question is:

  • are you the useful idiot influencers are looking for?
  • are you the rebel that rages against the rules and becomes a victim of their own self?
  • are you following your own rules at least?

At the end of last month I went shopping and spotted a T-shirt with this quote. I loved the quote as I agree with it, not so much the T-shirt though. However, the quote is valid for everyone.

Balance is something you create...

... To build your work of art, which will only be possible when you dedicate yourself to soul, life, and heart. Remember, one step at a time, but be firm.

You are right Erika you do what you love to do to achieve great things, just as the reflection in that flannel says, balance allows us to create.

I send you a big hug back.🌞🙋❤️

These are indeed pertinent questions one must answer.
