Burials have always been a painful event around the world, not because someone died, but it's because that's the last time, the last goodbye you say to the dead one and i went to alot of them last year.
Sitting right there watching the coffin, it always reminds me of whom i lost, that's just it and why it hurts me so much is because i never really got to say my goodbye to that person. That's my uncle I'm talking about. He was more of a father to me, he relocated to a different country when i was just 10, i was always thinking of meeting him again, wanting to see his reactions when he sees how big i have grown but when i was 13 the news came that he was dead. I couldn't even remember the last word i said to him and it hurts me so much. So every time i see a burial, a coffin, i remember my regret.
The second reason i hate burials i because in my locality, they changed the concepts behind it, it's like a party to them, they get a DJ, dance, spray money and have fun. How can you be happy, how can you dance, someone is dead and you're having fun. I know it's written '' better is the day of death than the day of birth'' but it doesn't mean you have to be so overjoyed. Burials are moment to say goodbye, a moment to keep the memories of the dead one in your hearts. It just so painful seeing these things, i can't even get a picture showing the rage. So, this is my i hate burials, i attend them to show respect for my friends and to give my last goodbye to the dead one.
But burials are not bad, not evil, just it's hard seeing everyone crying, it makes one to cry too, just like the one i went last, i was not familiar with the woman, but when i see those around me crying and talking about her deeds, it left me with a feeling of sadness. So that's just it, it's just one time to say the last goodbye. So don't try and miss it, you won't get a second chance to do it.
