This is a story i just created just to explain the concept and importance of diligence to career, work, business and all we do.
Sam Esq received a phone call from a Senior Colleague Ifa Esq requesting if he will be free today, so he can help him go to Court due to busy schedule.
Alhaji Ardo is a very successful businessman who deals with buying and selling of lands, farming, mining and is about to go into Oil business.
Sam met with Alhaji one day Alhaji had a matter in court and his lawyer couldn't make it. Sam went that day for the matter in court. Upon conclusion of the matter that day, Alhaji was amazed at how Sam was able to get familiar with details of the case and was throwing questions at Alhaji.
Alhaji was surprised and since then, young Sam became an important lawyer to Alhaji. Now, Sam is engaged in all of his legal matters. Despite that Sam got involved in a serious car accident he couldn't move for over a year, Sam was a favorite lawyer for Alhaji. Actually, Sam went through the whole file that morning on his way to court. A simple effort of diligence.
Diligence is a character we build over time. Every profession and skill needs diligence. Diligence is carrying out the task, job assigned to you effectively and in the manner expected especially with extra efforts. The truth is if you are not diligent, you start to decline on the radar of relevance, and you begin to lose clients or customers.
So in all we do, diligence is very important and necessary. Because of Sam's diligence, he was refered to Ifa for a job despite his health Condition.
