I was watching this movie the other day, and I can't remember the name for the life of me, but the ending was crazy at the same time unsatisfying. Both sides ended up meeting their demise, which made my friend and I feel like we wasted two hours of our lives.
I mean, We all know the classic storyline where one side triumphs and the other goes down in flames, but when both sides lose, It's like checking your Hive feeds and realizing every conversation is about Hive's price. Sure, it's important, but it's not exactly the only topic worth discussing.
But here's the thing, this movie got me and my friend thinking about life in general. We're all playing this game of good versus evil, and history has shown that it's been a long-standing battle. You can turn on the TV, and you'll see the same story played out in the media, politics, and in almost every organization. It's always the good guys versus the bad guys.
Sometimes its the rich versus the poor
My friend now made a point which I agree with. He said that in life, it's not about how much wealth and riches you accumulate, but what you leave behind. It's like a game of Monopoly, but instead of winning by bankrupting everyone else, you win by making the most impact on people's lives.
It made me think about how we filter out information too and what we consider to be the main points.
The story or the end
In a movie, we can get lost in the scenes and characters, but it's the story that's the real gem. It's like a penny. Sure, it may not be worth much(especially today), but it's was worth much in the past.
The story behind it that gives it value. it was worth what people are willing to trade for it and it was worth much in the past but not anymore because the story seems to be lost and thereby lose its value.
The focus is now on its latter-the dollar and now the focus is shooting to another end - million dollar
And on and on...making the million dollar worth-less as we keep pushing for the end -a billion dollar
Just like this we've shifted our focus from our everyday moments to moments exerience to the end part where we want to go to -be happy, be rich and being the best.
Happy ending tales are only in the movies
In the end, it's important to take a movie for what it is, but also appreciate the story it tells. Even if the main character dies, the story can still be impactful and not just stained by their death. And let's face it, we all want a happy ending, but sometimes, life doesn't give us that luxury. It's like eating a salad instead of a burger, it may not be what we want, but it's what we need.
Let's take this movie as a lesson to appreciate the stories in life and not just the exciting and happy ending scenes. And who knows, maybe one day we'll find the name of that darn movie.
