Life can be very unpredictable at times. I always hear people say that your current state in life is someone’s prayer point and it’s funny how most of us don’t realise it. I’m not here to preach, but I must state that, God works in mysterious ways. Looking back to the last few years of my life, a lot has actually changed. I sometimes sit and reflect on what I have achieved so far and I realized the importance of not giving up.
One thing I realised from my past experiences is that, when the time is right, it will come to you. We wish for so many things to happen to us in life. Everyone of us is out there waiting for that one phone call, email or whatever which would be a turning point in our lives. But sometimes things don’t always go as planned. This morning I called a friend to tell them that, This Too Shall Pass. Honestly, I just felt they needed it but we both ended up laughing about how random it was. This person said to me ‘ this is something everyone says’ and my question was ‘do you know what it means?’. This might sound like just a normal thing everyone says but when you sit down and look back, you realise that even the good times pass, so then, how much more the bad times.
As we are already in second half of the year, one thing I have observed is that everyone is busy out there. Trying to do this and that, meet this deadline, achieve this goal and just get everything on track. I get that it can be very frustrating at times and we sometimes just feel like giving up. But then remember, with hardship comes ease. It’s just a phase and you have to keep pushing. Once everything is said and done, you would one day sit down and laugh at how frustrated you were back then, but then you’d feel fulfilled by the results of your hard work.
We all have problems, but we must not let them dampen our spirits or bring us down. They should be a stepping stone for us to do better. Once again, I leave you with this today.
