While doing my routine physical workout in the morning I have noticed, certain change of performance. As I am performing my workouts inside my room, there are hardly any opponents or competitors. For a change I keep on changing my places, from room to balcony to terrace. My room being my favourite playground since the rainy days. Coming back to the performance level, today I did a change of my stance. In usual days, i used to workout with the wall facing my back. But todsy, just for a change I made a switch I was doing my activities facingbthe walls. My performances as well as the stretching activities were much better than before.

This reminded me of working out in Gym. Gym were always built having so many mirrors al around. People used to look out their reflection and do all the workouts. In fact at many places gym is more of a mirror house. Gyms have mirrors for many reasons, including:
Safety: Mirrors help gym users stay aware of their surroundings and other people and equipment, which can reduce the risk of accidents.
Performance: Mirrors provide immediate visual feedback, allowing users to correct their posture and technique, which can help prevent injuries and ensure effective muscle engagement.
Psychology: Mirrors can impact gym-goers' psychology and self-perception, such as boosting confidence and stimulating a competitive edge.
Tracking progress: Mirrors make it possible to track your progress and improve your fitness routines.
Mirror at gym also helps in maintaining balance and stability. Mirrors can help with exercises like squats and lunges. Most gym mirrors are tilted slightly forward to create an optical illusion that makes members appear stronger and more muscular. Acrylic mirrors are often used in gyms because they are shatter resistant and more affordable than glass. Mirrors provide visual feedback on your form and posture, which can help you avoid injury and maximize the effectiveness of your workout. For example, you can check that your spine is neutral and your knees don't go past your toes when you squat.
Reflecting on Self opponent.
In my opinion, the most important advantages for having mirrors around is to have an self opponent. Looking at the reflection and working can give a sense of competition.
our own abilities and successes are greatly limited without the competition of our rivals. Even more base, we do not have the chance to compete, grow, and win if an opponent does not show up.
I think, while working out facing towards the wall, helps me to see an opponent. The big wall standing in front helps to perform more aggresively and take out the best of mine. The biggest motivation factor for me is the fact thst "I am not where I wanted to be and I shouldn't be stopping till the time where I want to be...Where I want to reach."
Peace!!
