In the dentist chair, we trust!

One of the few things that I remember from my school syllabus is a hard learned lessons. It was in one of the English chapter which states that "Going to a dentist is a vicious circle". Since then I always try to avoid the visit or even consulting a doctor. I started taking all the precaution by my own. But times does not take me long to take to the dentist. It appears the pretty mouth skull is laughing as it getbhold of me.

These teeth frame were kept to make the patients understand how the teeth work and what all needed for its safety and avoid decaying. One thing is clear, you will find mostly all the dentist in the town to be very friendly. They alwsys treat us with a smiling face. Going to the dentist can be considered a "vicious circle" because when someone avoids dental visits due to fear or anxiety, their oral health can deteriorate, leading to more complex and potentially painful procedures when they finally do go. This is then reinforces their fear and makes them even more likely to avoid future appointments, perpetuating the cycle of poor oral health and dental anxiety. I never felt any pain but suddenly I notice a black spot on one of the molar teeth.

Putting off dental visits until the last minute often means dealing with more significant issues that require more complex treatments, adding to the anxiety.

I have seen many people suffering from dentail pain. Something which cannot be described as easily. It can feel like a sharp, jabbing sensation, a dull ache, or a throbbing pain depending on the cause, ranging from mild discomfort to severe agony, and can sometimes be accompanied by sensitivity to hot and cold foods, swelling in the gums, and pain when chewing. it can be localized to a specific tooth or radiate throughout the jaw and face or even end up with fever. My visit was a surprise one, after finding my Mom had lost most of the teeth. She is more on liquids or semi liquid diet.

Does our teeth ever looked so scary as it appearing on the X-Ray? I never thought so, but that is how we end up with ageing. She was advised for complete teeth implant. Something that the experts fixes new teeth by replacing the exiting one. An x-ray is important,as it provides information on the height of bone available for implant placement, the location of anatomical structures, and the presence of decay or infection. But in my mom case she lost almost everything.

RCT

Finding this an oppurtunity, I too sat on the dentist hot seat for the first time. The dentist was very friendly and does not let me feel unknown. On preliminary examination he asked me for RCT on the molar tooth that was decaying. It was strange that I developed a caries in the teeth. I once thought, it needed to removed but what he said, let me jump off my seat. He insisted that it can be cured in few minutes. And does not need to take more appointment. And also I can start eating in few minutes. Made me to smile.

He started operating with fine needle and drilling through the hole. It did give a little painful sensation but was bearable. He did took my 15 minutes but at the end he did made sure I was happy. He ensured me that the problem will not occur again neither I have to take any extra precaution. Having his assurance give me very relief. At the end, I feel relieved.

In my opinion, it was not a vicious circle. Going to the dentist is important because it allows for early detection and prevention of dental issues like tooth decay and gum disease, which can save you money and discomfort in the long run by catching problems before they become serious. A regular health check up including dental is utmost importsnt in todays time. We do often neglect the importance of healthy which may cause serios issue. An early detection is importsnt to ward of serious issues. It is a boon to have a good dental service.

Peace !!

well, i think it starts from childhood where until recently "i would say 15-20 years ago" dentist often were the evil characters that cause others to feel the pain & even seems to enjoy it, now it got better & the dentist character n cartoon is more balanced even that u will still find evil ones, also another factor is that as u said some procedures r more painful specially when not done n the proper time- so once a person undergo such procedures & have a bad experience & share that bad experience with others- those others will certainly not view dentist favorably & will think much more than twice before visiting a dentist even f it's really needed. finally i would say "it all starts n kindergarten & school". good post- well done, have a good day
