Hello again one and all,
Today's action takes us on a tour of six meetings around England, Scotland and Ireland, featuring 41 races. We start in Tipperary, in the Republic of Ireland, at 1:35pm and eight races, then on to Hamilton, Scotland for the 2:15pm, and 5 other races. Then down to the south coast of England for Brighton, with their six race card starting at 2:25pm, back over the Irish Sea to Roscommon, with an eight races, starting at 4:45pm, followed by seven races from Stratford beginning with the 5:40, finishing with a quick jaunt across into Wales for a six card evening at Ffos Las.
Recap - Monday, 3rd July, 2023
A modest profit from our four winning bets yesterday, putting us back in the black once again. Might have been an even better day if the three selections we had hit the places (1 second , 2 thirds) had managed to nick wins as well, but overall a satisfying day.
Fifteen winners yesterday from the tipsters yesterday, but we avoided the headache of a large number of bets (potentially 27) to place since the majority of those were on their first of the month, and only six managed to add to their tally.
Tipsters Standings
After yesterdays results we now have 50% of our group of tipsters with a winner for the month, but only six of these have managed to find two winners so far, and lead the table. Hopefully at least of these six will give us some more winners today.

Cheeky Extra Bet
Didn't quite get what we needed in yesterday's bet, landing the first leg by a comfortable 4 lengths. The second leg flopped, coming home 6th of the seven runners, some 25 lengths off the pace.
Renegade had this to say about the Absolute Ruler* result
No luck yesterday with Absolute Ruler unable to complete the 2nd part of the double. His jumping really fell apart in the second half of the race and didn't run to his best there. Overall that race was pretty poor with No Way Pedro just hanging on in the end.
Which all suggests had he jumped better, the race was at his mercy!
And so, we move on...
Today we are back in the singles markets with two selections
Selection | Race | Pts Advised | Odds Advised | Bet Placed | Odds Taken |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Callin Baton Rouge | 6:10pm Stratford | 1pt Win | 4.33 | 1pt Win | 4.00 |
Trick Of The Tail | 5:40pm Stratford | 1.25pt Win | 3.25 | 1pt Win | 3.25 |
Here is what Renegade Racing had to say about these two runners in his tipline subscriber e-mail this morning
Stratford 17:40 – Trick Of The Tail – 1.25 points win @ 3.25 (General)
Trick Of The Tail bounced back right to form last time out finishing 2nd at Bangor. That run was probably around 105+ mark and looks pretty good for a race like this. Trick Of The Tail disappointed 2 runs ago at Worcester but I think we can put a line through that, as his run last time out and 2 bumper runs suggest that progression has been made. There's enough question marks around the opposition here, Outsmart finished 5 lengths down from Carrarea last time out. However from that Carrarea finished a disappointing 5th a Hexham 20+ lengths off the winner from being odds on. Call Me Rocky is first time out for Milton Harris after being at Cian Collins for just one run finishing 20 lengths off the winner, this isn't a good sign that all is well with the horse. Thorpeness is progressing well but this may be just too hot of a race for him to challenge for.
Stratford 18:10 – Callin Baton Rouge – 1.00 points win @ 4.33 (General)
Callin Baton Rouge made a good start on hurdles debut at Cartmel in early may and should be able to build on that. Last time out at Cartmel Callin Baton Rouge was finished in 3rd place, 2 lengths off Come on Du Berlais Rated in 2nd 116 & 13 lengths Titanium Moon who was comfortable won 2 more races. Furthermore 5th place River of Joy in that race has gone on to win again. I think this race is a decent bit of form to look for upcoming summer jump races. The favourite Rock on Harry last ran in June and was backed in after a break from January. He disappointed in that race with his preferred good ground and although this race is weaker I think Callin Baton Rouge has a better profile for progression. Fandaidozi's form has gone downhill after finishing second 3 runs ago, a career best performance would be required to win here. Sobegrand finished 3rd last time out however the form in that race wasn't particularly great.
And finally...
That about wraps it up for another day,
Hope you all have a great day and rest of the week, and hope you find some success in your day, whether that be in the sports world or otherwise. And as usual if you follow the picks or go against them let me know, you never know there may be a reward coming your way with some SPORTS tokens.
