This is a bit of a throw-back photo I'm sharing today from the summer just gone. I was browsing my camera roll and these caught my eye as they stand out amongst my gallery of pictures!
Rhododendron's are very beautiful and tend to bunch up and grow closely together. The park has quite a few of them scattered about in various colours but the brightness of the pink always draws me in, especially during peak summer when the sun is shining and illuminating!
I have to say the park caretakers do an excellent job at protecting these flowers as we know what humans can be like, a lot of people like to destroy beautiful things just because. So it is wonderful to see them actually come to bloom and remain umharmed. Would love a few bushels of them in my own back garden!
