I went to a cat shelter last month looking for a cat to adopt. At the shelter, there was a lot of cats. I asked the caretaker, she said there are around 100++ cats inside the shelter.
Majority of the cats were stray and feral cats. There are also cats that is put there by their owner. The only reason is, the owner unable to take care of the cat anymore
