Object in motion in the photo

When taking photos, I wonder how to show that the object is in motion. Professionals can do it. As an amateur, I have to use nature, as you can see in the photo below.
A duck standing still is not as interesting as when it swims on the water and the water waves that form show its movement. And I managed to take a photo of a duck swimming towards me. She probably thought I had something for her to eat. 😄

Photo equipment: Nikon D7500 + Nikkor AF-P 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR
