Hi, Secondhand Find community! it is so nice to have found a community where one can talk about thrift finds. I have never thought a community like this existed but I am glad I found it.
Although I missed the last contest. I just want to share one of my latest second-hand finds. I am a fan of thrifting stuff but what I mostly thrift are clothes, shoes, and other items I need as well as anything unique that catches my eye.
One thing I love about thrifting is how vast and unique it can be. You find a lot of things that you wouldn’t normally see around you. I can’t say for sure if it is only in my country and perhaps in countries similar to mine, it’s quite hard to find certain new items.
Shipping or ordering these items from other countries can be expensive, and it takes time to be delivered. Sometimes we don’t get what we want or expect from our order, we might find out that the quality is not so good or it was basically different from what we ordered.
The beauty of thrifting is just too good. Except for the fact that it is economy-friendly, you get to discover a lot of awesome and unique things, and you can even evaluate the quality. Plus, you get it for a cheaper price. I always set a budget for myself when I go thrifting, otherwise, I might just end up getting anything alluring, hehe.
Before my post gets filled with how much I love thrifting, let me share my latest find share with you- a traveling bag.
A while ago, I needed a travelling bag for school because all the new ones my mom bought or that were given to me as gifts didn’t last at all. They would tear, get wore out or break after some time.
So, I decided to go thrifting. I saw a lot of quality bags, and at first, I found it hard to choose because I fell in love with them all. However, One of the bags stood out to me - a Badgley Mischka bag. I love the colour black, and I could never prefer bright colours for my travelling bag.
Although, the black bag had a fault where one of the wheels was damaged, I was a little bit tempted to choose other colours with different designs. But the others were quite big, which I don’t like, I mean I don’t think I would be comfortable dragging a large bag around with me.
My taste of choice usually leans towards cool, not the flashy, designs. I convinced myself that I would fix the wheel, because I couldn’t let go of the bag, I loved the design, texture , quality, and even the interior. To me, it just bets the others. So, I bought this beautiful bag.
When I got home, I started to regret my decision and thought I should have settled for the ones with good wheels. I even called the man who sold it to me and asked for an exchange, he agree saying I should come for an exchange, and switch the bag to anything I want. But after some thought, I still decided to settle for my choice of colour, size, and design.
Did I regret my choice? Not entirely. Because I still love the bag. I acknowledge that this bag is a quality one, but I hope it doesn’t spoil too quickly. This is one of my latest thrift finds except from clothes, and I am glad I found it.
Let me know if you love the bag and if I you think I made a good choice.
Thanks for reading. I can’t wait to share more with you all!
