Yeah! Another round of the #hivebrphotocontest and a nice subject again too!
I have photographed a lot of qindowa in my life. I was planning to go out and make a new photo for this contest, but I just can't find the time this week.
So I had to dive into my large photo archive and I found some interesting windows indeed.
It was difficult to decide which one I would choose for the contest.
But I have chosen the following one;
I took this photo when I was visiting a church. When we are in holiday with the family or doing a city trip, I always want to visit churches or cathedrals.
I just love the atmosphere, tha calmness, the silence and the decorations most churches and cathedrals have.
Most of them have stunning colorful stained glass windows.
If I remember correctly I took this photo in the church in La Roche en Ardenne, Belgium.
It was a bit of an overcast day, but when we were in the church, the sun broke through the clouds and came in through the windows of the church.
It was almost magical seeing the rays of light enter this holy building.
I was happy I could capture it this way.
I don't know which church this was, but I just love the colours. I didn't submit this one fir the contest because it's photographically not a really interesting photo. Everyone could have taken it.
The last photo is completely different. This is a picture I took of a building in the city of Leiden, The Netherlands. The building is hundreds of years old. They made very tall windows in the buildings back then (at least, for the rich), so they would get very much light inside.
I turned this photo into black and white to give it a bit of an old look.
