[PT/EN] Review de disco #4 Mother's Milk de RHCP

in #hive-1275152 years ago

Minhas músicas preferidas: Higher ground, Subway to Venus, Nobody weid like me, Taste the pain e Stone cold bush.
Minha nota: 6/10

English Version

Continuing my series of posts talking about something I understand little but really like, music. Today I'll be giving my opinion on the fourth album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mother's Milk.

The album was released on August 16, 1989, after a revamp that the band was forced to undergo. After the sad death of Slovak and the departure of Jack Irons, John Frusciante on guitar and Chad Smith on drums joined the band.

On this record, the musical quality was already much higher compared to its predecessor, as a slightly greater investment was made by the label due to the slow but gradual recognition that the band has been receiving. And that record was a success, taking the band's name to be recognized outside the US.

It is undeniable that Jhon brought a range of knowledge to the band making the songs more complex and different from each other. But of course without abandoning the essence of the band, funk is still very present. Flea as always brilliant, AK and Chad Smith also did very well.

I thought the album was fantastic, there were a lot of songs I didn't know that will be on my playlist for sure, like Taste the pain, what an amazing song.

My favorite songs: Higher ground, Subway to Venus, Nobody weid like me, Taste the pain and Stone cold bush.
My rating: 6/10
