Hi Hivers in the Amazing Nature community, how often have you been in the woods lately? It's been quite a while since I've gone to the forest because I've been quite busy with work. Until recently, I was motivated to go back into the forest because it was wild orchid season in my place. You know, I live in Mang Den, a small mountain town in Kon Tum province. Most of its area is covered with forests. And I had to wait a year to go to the forest to discover its beauty in this wild orchid season. I call them wild orchids because they are orchids which can grow in the ground or on trees in the wild.
It is said that this is the wild orchid season, but not every forest in Mang Den has orchid. According to a ranger friend of mine, we had to drive more than 50km from the town center and then another 1 hour trekking to reach the forest where the wild orchid is. Thanks to regular patrols, my ranger friend discovered this forest and knew when orchids would bloom. Also thanks to being located in a remote location and few people know, this forest retains its primeval beauty like this.
Leaving the car at the main road at the edge of the forest, we trekked into the forest along a small path. At an altitude of more than 1200m above sea level, this forest has quite high humidity, combined with the recent rainy weather, the trees in the forest look very green. The path leading into the forest seemed to be quite long, but I did not feel tired at all. After a while I didn't go to the forest, I was feeling eager to do it again, enjoying the fresh fresh air and the beauty of nature.
The deeper I went into the forest, the more I became interested in its diverse flora. Not only tall old trees, the flora on the ground is also very diverse and beautiful. The ground is covered with green moss. Colorful mushrooms growing from the dry trees also add beauty to the forest.
This is also the azalea season in this forest, so on the way, we occasionally come across a few crimson azaleas. I have seen some azaleas grown in the garden, but I must say that the wild azaleas are darker in color. They must have been very strong to compete with the surrounding trees.
And the main purpose of my trip today is wild orchids. I don't know if this flower is popular in your country? In the tropical forests of my country, orchids are a common flower. However, it is not easy to find these flowers. Because of their rarity, they are loved by many people and are valued much higher than other flowers. I was lucky enough to have come across quite a few orchids today. They are scattered throughout the forest. Thanks to their vivid colors, it is quite easy to spot them in the green of the jungle. And especially, once they have bloomed, their flowers can last for months, which makes them even more beautiful. I have to say thank you very much to my friend because thanks to him, I had the opportunity to admire the beauty of these miraculous flowers at the right time.
Thank you very much for taking time to read my post. I had a really good time exploring the beauty of wild orchid in the forest of Mang Den. I hope you enjoyed it too. Wish you a nice day.
