A month ago we travelled to a place called Hinunangan. We are set to take photos and videos of their natural tourist spot to be used for their promotional video.
One of the spots we visited is the beach called Morgana Beach Resort. It is privately owned but we are blessed to be allowed to stop by there. Our main purpose there is to catch the sunrise.
I was with the team, the videographers, the video editor, the writer, and the director. All of us rise early as 4 am even when we had not had enough sleep just to witness and catch the sunrise.
We came dark but it was still dark. We just set up the camera and prepared the drone. Some of us watch Facebook reels while some are chitchatting. I also took a video for my consumption. I had my phone on time-lapse but it was not a good idea as I don't have a phone stand with me. I ended up enduring being on a phone stand for more than an hour. I can't even believe myself.
First
The light is peeking here. It is still shy. I thought of giving it time. One, two, three, four. Feels like it would take me forever. I thought of giving up but no, this is once in a lifetime opportunity, might as well take advantage of it.
Second
Here, it's slowly revealing itself. Mr Sun, oh how important and amazing you are. I could wait for you forever. The orange line serves as a waiting signal to wake people up.
Third
Take it easy, Mr Sun. Some people are still snoozing their alarm. Give them another five minutes.
Fourth

The time-lapse video that I recorded isn't perfect as my hands keep on moving. No matter how hard I tried, I still can't keep my hands from moving.
After a few minutes of waiting, here comes the sun. It's still hiding behind the hill but it's giving light to the surrounding already.
Good morning from Mr Sun. Rise and shine.
I love how peaceful and calm the morning is. Even the sea, it's perfect. I'm glad I woke up early and choose to witness its beauty.
The resort is bare. It has no other establishments there. It's all-natural. The owner is so blessed to wake up in this wonder. It's surely fun to witness and enjoy the sunrise forever. I wouldn't mind if there are no other establishments available. The sun is already more than enough.
This one is taken at 6:30 am already. The sun is beaming its smile on us. It would be nice to dip in the water and have a morning swim. I bet this place is perfect for newborn babies. It's a nice area to get some sun. It's not noisy and not full of people. It's calm and serene and everything one could hope for. One can also sip coffee while enjoying sunrise here.
This is the owner's place. It's a rest house beautifully formed as a boat. It's big but the owners were not there. Maybe they just visit the place from time to time.
If I were the owner, I wouldn't mind living all my days here. I'm thankful to be given a chance to be part of the team. It's my first time catching the sunrise. Most of the time, I wake up late missing sunrise or worse, I'm busy and I can't pause. Also, the place where I live is not a good spot to watch the sunrise.
I realized is nice to pause and spend some time watching the sunrise and witnessing nature's beauty. Oftentimes, we are busy that we fail to enjoy and appreciate the things that give us comfort and healing.
So, when you're stressed and pressed, just look around you. There is so much there to enjoy and appreciate.
Thanks for reading. Until then.
